this is a bit outdated now. make sure their gown in closed in the back, make sure you put the foot rests on the wheel chair down after they sit. a few other things have changed that you will learn during the training courses, but this is still a decent overview
I am actually looking seriously into becoming an STNA in my state. I have been in the Ohio DD field for the previous 2.5 years and I love what I do but would also love to broaden my work field and experience and i feel 110% that becoming an STNA would be everything I am looking for. Pretty much the same details of work that i already do (using the gain belts/lifts/care-giving) just with a touch more knowledge and a different title than my current DSP (direct Support Professional) and TL (Team Lead of the homes of DSP)... This and other videos will help along the way but if anyone could help point me in the correct direction in the steps i take (how to receive my own personal username/pin for the HD website, and how i can move forward for testing) I would really, REALLY appreciate it. Please and thank you!
I've been watching your videos for a month now and they helped me pass my state exam 3/9 thanks so much for sharing! !

Hi I took my stna class at Alia Healthcare
You didn’t connect the footrest . She supposed to put the foot rest after she sat down in the wheelchair
Before you put the gate belt on, make sure gown is completely closed in the back or you will fail
Sasha Gray are you serious is this for the state of Ohio ??
Thats not true thats not what the skill is about
Alot has changed and watching this video has some helpful tips but it could mislead a lot of ppl.
Do we have to count out loud her steps like she did
We just need an updated correct video.
So whats different?
This is too old it’s outdated you needs to also lower the bed
We just need an updated correct video.
