- I ran the Tushar Mountain 70K this year. It was actually a 75K due to some course modifications thanks to the snow drifts that are still all over the mountains. I was blown away by the Tushar Mountain Range. What a beautiful and terribly hard course.

Love this! I did the 70k in 2021 and this brought back so many awesome memories. The drive up that long, winding road to the lodge. Those incredible mountains and valleys. The vert! That 4 mile climb. Kudos!
Southern Utah is full of surprises. I think a person could spend a lifetime exploring places like this. Thanks for posting.
Awesome job. I just finished the Beaverhead ultra in Salmon Idaho and rode the struggle bus all day, but managed to finish. Thanks for sharing.
Well done! That race sounds like a good one!
Hello 👋 one of the aid station ladies from Ogden. Congratulations on your finish. Loved the video. It was nice to see the race course and what you guys accomplished. Wish it hadn’t been so hot for the runners that day. It was rough for so many. Twentieth out of 122 runners on that course is an impressive finish
You guys were THE BEST!! So much positive energy. Loved it. I wish I would have turned my camera on for it.
In my recent 100k, I took the opportunity to get my hat, face, neck, and arms wet in every stream crossing. That helped a lot to manage the heat. Great job on the 75k despite the struggles. Beautiful race/trail/area!!!
Those streams were a godsend. They haven't always been there for this race but since we had such a good winter, the runoff was still going strong!
On the edge of my seat the entire time. Great Job! I hope to complete a event like that in the next year.
Thank you! and I hope you get out there and give it a go!
Beautiful.
Very inspirational.
Allready halfway, it looked really tuff.
Handling doing the video simultaneously and keeping doing it, is very well done.
Congratulaitions on all of it.
Thank you. Sometimes I wonder if the video making is a distraction from the pain... I try to be conscious about it and use it as a vehicle to experience everything deeper and not detract from the experience.
Niiiiiice! Congrats on the finish. That race was my first DNF 2 years ago. I'm hoping to go back next year. One of the most stunning courses I've ever been on. It's so hard though. Like it's a beast of a course. And you did it.
Next year is your year Amy!
Wow. Inspirational!!
Inspired! (new subscriber) Love the views, music selection and the commentating. Keep doing your thing man. Great job! Also, I saw you using the Apple Watch Ultra. I got my coros apex pro 2 but I’m investing in the Apple ecosystem and was debating which one to use for my 50 miler. Now I’m confident that I can push it.
Finished with more than 30% battery left!
@@JustAnotherRunner just ran a 50 mile for 14:38(don’t judge me) and also too had 30% battery left 😮💨
@@UntalLaurencio Hey we're out there trying to finish. Finishing times are subjective! Great work!
You tell an excellent story 👊🏻
Thanks man
Great documentation of the race. I’m running the 70k this year (2024), so your race experience will be super helpful for training. Somehow I have to figure out how to train at altitude. The high point near me is around 4000 ft. Here is an odd question- is the drive up to the start/finish mostly paved? Hoping my humble Kia sedan will be able to make it up there without getting stuck. I’m camping the night before and after.
Good luck! Especially with the altitude. If you can’t train that high then maybe get up there and camp a day or two early to try and get a little acclimated…? IDK if that would help but training under 4000 ft might be rough for you. As far as the road goes- super smooth. Your car will be just fine!
@@JustAnotherRunner thanks for the intel! I live outside of Santa Barbara, CA so will probably do some weekend camping/run trips around Mount Baldy. At least gets up to 10000 ft.
@@dailyjamrunner oh that will definitely help!!
What shoes did you wear for this and if you were to do it again what shoes would you use? I'm doing the 70K this year and debating on shoes! Appreciate any feedback. This video was so inspiring and brilliantly done! Thank you thank you!
Thank you! I wore the Salomon Ultra 3's. They did very well. I had an extra pair of shoes in a drop bag at the halfway mark and I didn't switch because I did feel the need.
The majority of the trail was pretty smooth. But there were a few spots like coming down from Delano were some additional protection would have been nice. If I were to do it again this year I would either go with the same Ultra 3's or I would run in the Salomon S/LAB Genesis because of their additional protection.
7:56 this looks wild!!!
Sick glasses!
Okay two other questions: 1) did you fill up water from those streams with the Salomon filter? 2) what is camera setup? GoPro with selfie stick?
1- no. I didn't carry a filter. Just used the aid station water.
2- Yessir.
8:52 wild there is still so much snow.

What's the song at 4:00?

Nah. Just some old abandoned mining shacks
that's what they want you to think@@JustAnotherRunner
No!!!! Always happens when you don’t want to get wet.
