  • Openings are the most exciting phase in the game of chess. There are various chess tricks, traps, strategies, tactics, ideas, gambits & opening moves that you can use to fool your opponent & win more chess games. In this video, I share with you 4 secret opening tricks that white can use to trap the black queen. These opening tricks involve the use of knight, bishop, pawn & white queen. This trick is popularly known as the Tennison Gambit. A gambit is basically a chess opening strategy in which a player sacrifices his material of lesser value, like a pawn, with the hope of achieving an advantageous position. It’s like a chess trick to fool your opponent. The Tennison Gambit is a popular response to the Scandinavian Defense. These opening moves will definitely surprise your opponent. You just need to follow these starting moves & you can easily trap and capture the black queen or gain a strong material advantage. This chess opening trick will help you to win fast.

    Your first presentation of the TN was just right. The basic approach. Variations s/b saved for another video. Too many videos on YT are so caught up in variations the original set to the gambit is lost to the viewer. You check comments and present a follow up video with the answers/variations. Exactly right. Good work.

    In the fourth variation at the end after you capture the pawn with queen you can play Ne6 attacking the queen and the bishop the obvious response is bishop takes knight then you take the bishop with your bishop and then after Black's move you played rook to d1 and queen is trapped

    Wouldn't a better move for black on the last example be Pawn to e6? Blocks fried liver completely and doesn't position his knight in a week corner spot, also makes it so the black Queen is able to move diagonally incase white challenges her

    3:02 As per the numeric value assigned to each piece, it turns out that in this line, white would only be a pawn up
    Pawn = 1
    Bishop or Knight = 3
    Rook = 5
    Queen = 9
    King = Infinity
    White gives up 2 pawns, a knight and a bishop, that is (1 + 1 + 3 + 3 =) 8 points, and wins a queen (= 9 points). The difference is 9 - 8 = +1. That is, white is only a pawn up.

    Would you share more basic principles in chess rather than traps beacuse everytime traps don't work but principles work along. So would you make a long video on principles of chess and also keep on making videos on traps? People would love it. By the way this was again a nice video.

    After 6:07, when black makes a move, you can attack the queen with
    1. Rd1 Bd7 or Nd7
    2. Qxf5 NxQf5
    And finally Bf7++ and that's a beautiful checkmate 😎

    I got this to work but my opponent played pawn to e5 instead of h6 and this basically frees up the square for the king to move away to defend the queen. What do I do here? This was in the part where you said that most players would play h6 but most beginners tend to play e5 instead because they don't see what you are trying to do so they continue developing their pieces by freeing their pawns.
