Thanks for sharing your fun. I did a demo flight in one last year. Great airplane. Did you consider a SeaRey? What tipped the scale for you? Keep the videos coming.

I did consider the Searey, but didn't care for it's looks. It was a hard decision, but so far loving the Super Petrel.

@@greatwhiteph Seems like Searey wings would through the craft around quite a bit with that almost hand glider wing profile. Wish there was an amphib that had a step outside of the door - something you could climb on if you were to take a dip. Like A5, but not that large. Was wing construction one of the considerations? if you had to ingress from the water, like needed to get a bunch of weeds off the undercarriage before retracting, do you climb on lower wing then step into cockpit? Lastly, is this s constant speed prop with reverse or fixed pitch? might be dumb question if it is categorized LSA, but could be registered differently.

@@mattgeans3758 LSA currently are not allowed to have constant speed prop. If that changes in the future it would be an awesome upgrade. Also would allow for reverse. My partner has gone swimming and has had people swim over to the plane and climb in, but this would work best in my opinion if you were in shallow water like a sand bar and you were able to climb back in easier. You can climb in easily in shallow water. No, you do not climb on the lower wing for entry, but can use it climb in. Some type of rope ladder over the side might work. We haven't had it long enough to try something there. Most hulls do not have something to step on like the Icon A5. There were many consideration regarding choosing a plane. LSA vs traditional plane, new vs old, useful load, dockable or not, strength of manufacturer, overall cost of ownership.

@@mattgeans3758 The MVP promises to be exactly that. If they ever start making them. Videos are all very impressive, now they just have to build some!
