What i love about this ending is how they consistently show how raimundo is going to be the leader. It was like he was the main character in this double episode series finale. Every important desicion and moment was done by raimundo. Getting the sands of time, leading the team to stop omi from freezing himself, starting the showdown, directing each monk to take over when their abilities were the most useful, and even beating all 4 antagonists who were all previously stronger than the whole team combined. I love how in the final season the hints are all there. Like that episode when raimundo conquerors his inner fears and beat hannibal bean, who was using the shadow of fear.

Yeah that's just it. This series always reeked of wasted potential to me. So much more building could have been done with the Wu and villains. I liked the different Wu, Showdowns and Villains and felt if they had gotten final arcs in the series it would have been better rather than just becoming reoccurring villains with no real purpose after their defeats. Also the monks scaling up should have been structured better. I think I would have cared more about the Xiaolin apprentice thing if it was introduced as the goal from the beginning. Same with each of their abilities. They only seemed to use their Wu Dai forms like once and them all getting two sets of personal Shen Gon Wu felt excessive. Yeah but my problem with this is him learning the error of his ways doesn't seem to come from realizing what he's subjecting the world to is wrong. But rather because he just missed his friends. His reasons are all self serving and he's immediately forgiven.
I know everyone mostly talks about how much Raimundo has grown throughout the series, but I loved the subtlety in Omi's own character progression. Given how much the series focused on him and him pretty much hinted as the face of the show, it assumed that he would be leader, but the ending scene really showed how much he'd grown in his own way. Omi was a Xiaolin monk for his entire life, so you'd think due to his lifelong experience that he'd be the obvious choice for leader, but him realizing that even if he is the best student, that didn't make him the most qualified to become leader. He finally puts his ego aside unlike Chase Young and decides to be happy for his friend and you can see how much it means to Raimundo since he knows how much pride Omi has as a monk and Omi willingly giving him the position as leader without a fight shows how much he knows that Raimundo is more qualified to be team leader than him and that Omi finally understands how much more he needs to grow in his own way to become better like Raimundo.
This show was ahead of its time. I always thought Omi would be guaranteed to becoming Shoku Warrior just because he's the main character. Wish more anime would take notes from this lol
Of course it was Raimundo. Wind is the leader element. Wind turns droplets of rain into bullets. Wind turns grains of sand into razor sharp shards. Wind feeds flames and makes them grow, but has the power to suffocate them as well.
They all had flaws, big flaws. And those flaws were exploited in some way by the villains. The only one who realized this and learned to either fix those flaws or take advantage of them (more than once mind you) was Raymundo.
The fact that Raimundo held his own against the four strongest villians in the series, even if it was less than a minute, says a lot. I also only just realized today that Mala Mala Jong was able to be there at the end was because Chase and Wuya stole a bunch of shen gong wu the episode before.
I love how Jack actually seems to end up helping the Monks at the end of every Saga. (The battle against a full powered Wuya was the end of the In-Training Saga, the Battle to save Omi from Chase Young was the End of the Apprentice Saga, and this was the End ofthe Wudai Warrior Saga which is also the Series Finale)
Oddly enough, he helped out the most when one of the Dragon Warriors fell to darkness. Ray, when he joined Wuya, Omi, when he joined Chase, and even Chase in that world when he joined Roy Bean. So with the old theory about him being a Dragon of Metal, it is strangely fitting, he is in darkness so the others live in light, he is forgotten while the others are remembered and grow.

Much as I want to agree, I cannot. Since the beginning, Omi has shown to be arrogant, close-minded, and more often than not, a glory hog. He has the potential to be the greatest warrior, but he needs to learn humility, recognize his own arrogance, and realize that those around him are just as important as he is. RAY-MUN-DO ain’t nun to fuck with. Or Wateva Wutang said 🤷🏾♂️😂
I cant act like i understood this show as a child but this ending pissed me tf off
Why?
Raymundo grown more than Omi.
Raymundo thought/cared of his team always work as a team. Omi on the other hand only relay on himself.
Same like that ending is a cliffhanger XD
I was piss too when I was little
The flash
Why did Chase smile?
He was proud of all them and wasn’t fully turned evil
They should have just ended there
Well, many fans don't consider Chronicles Canon, so it kinda does!

Shaniqua was my crush fuuuuu.
i have to say i don't find the ending that bad open ended sure but not that bad
This ending sucked
Total shit if omi is not the leader..
Hell, the finale was him thinking he knew better than anyone by going back in time to keep chase from turning evil. He failed to realize however what such a major change could do to those around him.
Overall, Omi is probably meant to be the second greatest xiaolin ever next to Dashi himself. However, it will only come when he finally masters his own issues.
As the guy above me said omi arrogance is what holds him back
@Train fan1995 Unfortunately. There was a spin-off but I Don't recommend it as it basically reboots the show instead of continuing it.
😂
@@grizzakaful your basically describing Rai as well. And he does know how important those around him are.
Omi should have been leader
L comment
Omi has to much ego
This is MK if it was a kids show
