- This is an in-depth GTA Online video guide that will teach you how to open the storage doors on Cayo Perico Island that have Gold or any other loot as Secondary Targets. First, I will teach you in detail how to do the glitch, the requirements, and where you can practice it in Freemode. After this you can execute it anywhere with a ledge grab animation available to do by your character. This is also known as the Snapmatic Phone app Camera glitch. It involves holding the ledge grab animation from a spot for long enough so that you slide or teleport back to the starting point. When used in certain spots, you can end up getting inside the storage rooms in the Cayo Perico island compound. Multiple routes/ways for all four rooms: North Storage, South Storage, West Storage and Basement Storage have been shown. I have also kept a keyboard button overlay that shows the exact keys I am pressing during gameplay. It might seem a bit trick or hard in the beginning. With practice, you will be able to do this easily with consistency. I will also be working on a guide for PlayStation 4/5 and Xbox One, Series X|S console players who are using controllers. It will be uploaded soon. I have tried to make this guide as easy to follow as possible with slow motion footage and keyboard inputs included along with a summary of the starting and ending points for all 4 storage locations. This video has been recorded after the latest Chop Shop DLC (Online version 1.68) added in December 2023 to GTA Online and should continue to work in 2024 and beyond unless it gets patched. The Cayo Perico Heist to this day, is still a solid way to make money for solo players even with the nerfs to cooldown period and loot value along with the changes to enemy AI over the years.

Thank god for this video, I could consistently do west, north, and south storage, but never basement, as the other way that people commonly did it stopped working (you would teleport all the way to the keypad by the elevator)

Eventually it does become really easy to do. You'll be able to do it consistently for all doors.

I was having trouble at first but then realized that when I was leaving the take cover spot I was tapping W and space at the same time which messed me up, so if you are failing this, go to the start at pay attention to when he clicks W and space to leave cover. Yep, that part of the glitch is the most error prone due to the timings of different keys. There's a small gap between pressing & holding each key, one after the other (W + Space + quick launch key). Glad I could help!

it amazes me how people discover that kind of glitch
It's actually there from the beginning in the game. Speedrunners use the buffered ledge grab glitch in story mode. It works online too but slightly different due to the phone animations working differently online. Rockstar has tried to make it harder to do over the years, but never fully patched it.

man, i have 2000 hours in gta online, and i dont even know you can quick launch snap matic. Just like michael says: you learn thousand things everyday, make sure this is one of em
I usually keep that turned off when not doing the glitch. It sometimes opens up by accident when you are in a hurry and tend to spam the key to pull up your phone.

I've gotten a hang of the glitch itself, but I keep getting spotted by the guards. I really wish that there were a guide on which guards to take out for each room.

I can do every single one but the south storage simply doesn't work. I don't know why, I spent so long trying it it just does not seem to work.

I got it🎉😂, the problem was in my timing while openning the snapmatic before he put phone in pocket, im doing it easy everytime now!! And yes you can open snapmatic more than 3 times and go wherever you want, but the respawn point will be differen😊

can u pls define "end point" of the glitch? how do i know where i stop doing the animation thing? is it any random wall or why is it that specific wall?
You need to stop around the same spots as I did. It doesn't have to be the EXACT same pixel but just try to be close to the positions I have shown in the video. That is why I have included the Start & end point at the end of each room.
1:23 when I get up, hold down the W key and spacebar, my mobile phone does not appear
You also have to double press up arrow key to quick launch snapmatic after W and space bar.
The glitch works and all but for the west storage I keep getting spotted while trying to do it do you know which guards i should kill?

Didn't work at all. I tried so many times... And it doesn't show how you need to glitch in the last part it shows that u don't have to click anything and I did that so many times....
Any chance on doing this on consoles ? PC seems to be very broken in many ways. I enjoyed doing the old Cayo door entry on XBox 1.

When you are on the camera app (the capture screen), you shouldn't be able to run. Your character might move a few steps and stop since you were sprinting before opening it.
Extremely hard to get this to work on console, either that or I just suck 🤷🏻♂️ I gave up on it 😢

There might be slight timing issues. Try waiting a little extra or try doing it a bit earlier. The FPS you get also seems to affect this glitch, so you may have to experiment a bit with the timing.
Possible to kill all guards after getting main loot then only focus on glitching? I need time to practice this without annoying dead bodies being found haha
Yeah, you can do that if you are careful enough.
Yo, i tried this and i found out that snapmatic opens really slow in my game because of that i can't do the 2:00 trick

Are you playing on PC? Maybe try lowering graphics settings a bit so that your Snapmatic doesn't load slowly. Usually Snapmatic loading slow is an issue with the SSD/HDD. It could be due to being low on space or an aging drive.

Once you get the hang of it, it is quite easy to do consistently.

i think they patched it. when i hit the bottom of the stairs my hand is still in the weird hand position, it just doesnt vault through the door

Hi, is Basement method 2 patched? I can make the glitch but always spawn next to the elevator, even I switch to the box on the left...
It's not patched. The second one is a hit or miss at times. That's why I put it as the second one. Personally I prefer the first one for the basement. But it does work, you just need to position at the end wall like I did in the video.

You will need to hack it from the inside to exit if you enter using the glitch.

They only appear in Online when using Snapmatic app.
Even though I was able to get the gold on PS4 the secondary loot value does not get added to the total value of the heist 😐 had 2 million in the bag including diamond+gold+safe on hard mode but after finishing the heist I only got 1764000 🥴

Playing on a controller by any chance? The guide I linked to will work for that as well. If playing on a keyboard, what is your sprint button? Any changes? If it is a laptop, it could be a key ghosting thing which doesn't let you use certain keys together. Idk I'm just stating the possible reasons.

Still works. At what part does your camera not open? The beginning while taking cover or later when you are getting out of cover? It could simply be a timing issue.
Maybe you skipped the part of the video where he says that there is a setting on your cell phone that allows you to quickly open the camera

Is this glitch patched? I can't seem to do it in the heist but I could perform the glitch near the fairground ride. I'm already familiar how to do this glitch so I doubt that I'm doing something wrong. Can someone confirm this?

Not patched, still works as of a few hours ago. Try experimenting with the starting and end points a bit.

Yeah, that one is a hit or miss for me as well. Which is why I kept it as the 2nd method in this. The first one works every time for me.
I think this is patched, i tried glitching into every room and failed each time
I did this yesterday and was still working. These kinds of glitches aren't patched as quickly and frequently as you think. They usually fix these together only with the major Updates.

Do you even know how many players actually play this game? There are new players joining every day. Not everyone does Cayo Perico daily. I don't know what I'm doing wrong but north storage method 2 sends me flying to the ocean and method 1 sends me passed the house.

Glad you figured it out. This glitch seems to be affected by FPS as well, so the timing and position could be slightly different for others. It can be figured out with some trial and error like you did.
@@Rohit997 Do you think there is a cooldown with this? It works every time I do the heist normally, but doesn't work after I use the replay glitch.
