One reason the display settings may not be showing is because your monitor cable is plugged into the Motherboard connection and not the Graphics Card connection.
I guess the latest driver borked Nvidia control panel for me. I downloaded the latest drivers yesterday, and not only are the display settings missing but I can't configure the surround physx either, the checkbox for configure surround is just greyed out and unclickable. This bugs me because I know for a fact that a few months ago I was able to see the different plugged cables and ports just like normal and I was able to serial connect my monitors for use as one big monitor. But now, all I can see is physx in a sort of speech bubble pointing at the GPU I have, nothing else. I tried doing everything in this video but nothing worked. (PC, windows 10, 2x active screens with HDMI ports on the GPU and one VGA to the integrated graphics on the motherboard)
If it’s still not showing up, uninstall Control Panel, uninstall GeForce Experience, reboot, reinstall Control Panel and open it to be sure display settings are showing up. Then reinstall GeForce Experience and reboot. Should be good to go.

The solution is easy, which is to turn off the Intel graphics card from the device manager while keeping the external Nvidia graphics card on. At first, you may encounter a problem with the screen not turning on after turning off the Intel graphics card, but do not worry, just change the HDMI cable and turn on the computer again and you will see the Nvidia Control Panel settings appear in full.

Shouldn't it work on the motherboard's DisplayPort output with a monitor with G-SYNC technology? Should it?? Most of the time the PROBLEM is the cable connected incorrectly or defective. Forget about updating the driver, it's always a waste of time that will make you very irritated.
Well, I actually came here to try fixing not having the "Monitor Technology" setting, so I can enable / disable G-sync. Anyway, I found out that I'm missing the setting of "NVIDIA LocalSystem Container" of NVIDIA "services". Does anyone know a solution to that? I don't even need G sync, just wanna make sure it's disabled, if possible. I have "GeForce RTX 3060" and a rather average Gaming PC, if this info is helpful.

And now do not try to get display setting in you nvidia control panal cause by ny research its not possible. Because you cpu has the display setting in it. And even after making my nvidia as main. It doesn't work. Use seperate software for it.

Hello, I did all these steps and my display settings option on Nvidia is still not showing. It gave me a video option finally (only showed 3D options before) but still nothing for display. u are the goat, i almost tried EVERYTHING since yesterday and this was it, if any1 have the same problem, i disabled the "MSHybrid" from the MSI Center, because i have an MSI latoptop and this setting does not show in the BIOS
The problem is that when I go to the BIOS, the screen is black, and it only gets fixed when Windows is running.
I'm scared ;-;
You freaking legend!🔥🔥🔥 if you see this I just wanna say thanks you ❤❤❤ new sub
GUYS. what fixed is for me was 1:40 making sure the middle nvidia one was automatic
Thank you!!!
Idid everything everything was already on or working but i only see 3d option so i need help
did you find out what is the problem by any chance? cuz my laptop not showing display.
did u fix and if u did how?
The solution is easy, which is to turn off the Intel graphics card from the device manager while keeping the external Nvidia graphics card on. At first, you may encounter a problem with the screen not turning on after turning off the Intel graphics card, but do not worry, just change the HDMI cable and turn on the computer again and you will see the Nvidia Control Panel settings appear in full.
If this does not work, check if your hdi is connected on tour gpu and not in your motherboard
already did. Still not working
go to msconfig boot advanced option and untick no.processor and maximum memory.restart
For those on Laptop switch to discreet graphics
in my display adapter there is 2 one is rtx 3050 and 2 is amd radeon tm graphics
my laptop is nvidia and wich one i delete?
fr
RTX 3050 is your dGPU, which is your graphics card. radeon TM is iGPU, which is the one you are looking for. still wouldnt recommend deleting it since it can break your pc.
I have a laptop with GTX 1050ti and it keeps using the intel graphics and Nvidia says 0 display detected anyone else have the same issue ?
Same bro
I'm also in laptop, but RTX 3050, don't worry bro. The dedicated graphics card won't use power unless it is needed to do so, having it at 0 when doing basic task and gaming is perfectly normal.
Did you find any solution??
same here dude shit sux
@@jamescamarador449 unless you literally cant play videogames cuz of this issue. while older graphics cards wont have the issue i pointed out, newer ones will.
For people for who it still doesn't work, check if your HDMI cable is connected on your graphic card and not your processor. I had the same problem and by changing the location of my cable it finally appeared. Hope this will help.
i don't have the physx thing on my nvidia and when i tried downloading it it sayed i already had it when i dont any help about that?

In my case, connecting the DisplayPort cable to the video card solved the problem IMMEDIATELY BECAUSE THE SCREEN FLASHED, but I tried everything before, uninstalling Nvidia Geoforce and Nvidia Control Panel and restarting the PC, then reinstalling it, disabling the video card, etc.
I have a Ryzen 5 5600G, Asus TUF GAMING B550M, and an RTX 3060ti.
Shouldn't it work on the motherboard's DisplayPort output with a monitor with G-SYNC technology? Should it??
Most of the time the PROBLEM is the cable connected incorrectly or defective. Forget about updating the driver, it's always a waste of time that will make you very irritated.
this worked tysm
guys if u have a laptop like me and dont have display go onto manage display mode and then click NVIDIA gpu only and apply it fixed my problem
@@bencami3263 where's display mode
Well, I actually came here to try fixing not having the "Monitor Technology" setting, so I can enable / disable G-sync. Anyway, I found out that I'm missing the setting of "NVIDIA LocalSystem Container" of NVIDIA "services". Does anyone know a solution to that? I don't even need G sync, just wanna make sure it's disabled, if possible. I have "GeForce RTX 3060" and a rather average Gaming PC, if this info is helpful.
i have a rtx 4060 ti but it dosent work for me either
it doesnt work
ive tried everything and it didnt work :( is it bc i have a nvidia geforce rtx card?
I watched tons of videos for months and followed so many steps and deleting shit. If you are in the same boat see my fix: Those of you using a Display Port Cord (this is the cord that has a D on it) you have to plug your display port cord from your monitor directly into your Graphics Card Display port on your pc. It worked in seconds. Hope this helps everyone, FYI I don't know how it works with a laptop.
Ill try what u said, i miss spelled the card its intel cor i7 ( if this is wrong,) then im just dumb)@@rhythmecho6008
@@rhythmecho6008 bro thank you so much
Yall, i found a solution. I had a nvidia Grafics card and amd cpu. If you have intel cpu. Just go to intel command center and it will have all the options. And for amd , i was trying to get my second monitor scaling right (it is a small tv btw) in amd Radeon app, setting - display,( select the right disply)click hdmi likh assurance, then use hdmi scaling. And now do not try to get display setting in you nvidia control panal cause by ny research its not possible. Because you cpu has the display setting in it. And even after making my nvidia as main. It doesn't work. Use seperate software for it.
not helping i have done that but they are still missing
Hi there! Thanks for the video. Just a question, what happens if the NVIDIA LocalSystem Container service is not on even on the list? All I have is NVIDIA Display Container LS and NVIDIA FrameView SDK Service
then yo pc broken
i have the same problem:(
U probably have outdated drivers
same and of course the guy who made the video has no answer for this.
It was working with the old drivers I had 3 hours ago, now it is not working, I have a Game Ready Driver, Version 555.85, Nvidia GeForce RTX 4060. Should I go back to the old driver for now?
i got the same issue can u respond me if u got the solution ?
Hi, I can see everything on my resolution except the customise button do you have any solution?
on laptop you have to go to the nvidia control panel select "manage display settings" choose nvidia gpu settings, and accept. then the settings will come up.
None of the suggested fixes has worked for me. The Display menu is still missing.
u saved my life thanx bro
Last solution solved the problem for me
I'm really glad it worked for you! Let me know if you have any questions. Thank you for watching and please consider liking and subscribing! 🙂
I had the same problem after connecting my Dell Alienware AW2725DF OLED. The solution was simple - I made a mistake and connect monitor with my DisplayPort 2.0 to motherboard rather than GPU itself... If you change that, it may work for you.
If you’re DV Cable is hooked up to your motherboard hook it up to the GPU and they should show up that was my problem at least hope this helps someone.
I have done these steps and still have no luck.
did you ever find a solution?
the diplay setting is just not there
My monitor stopped booting after a forced Windows update. This video fixed it!
Thanks bro and Fuck Windows. Microsoft you had one job and somehow still mess up something so simple as a routine update.
Hello. If my laptop under device manager can't see the graphics card display. Will it still work and run even if not detected?

I have an (ASUS) NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060
It is supposed to be able to do 120 FPS.but when i go into windows settings i see only 60 FPS as the highest setting
The Nvidea panel has no settings for that
Was i sold a card that wont do 120 FPS?
They told me it was
Plz advise
Cheers
What Game ? What Monitor ? Bro it's a 3060 you can get 1500 FPS on a game and 3 FPS on an other it's like that on PC's. But if all the games are stuck on 60 FPS, check the refresh rate in game and the refresh rate on your monitor.
Make sure you're plugged into your GPU not your motherboard
Thanks, bro. It helps me a lot. I wonder why the NVIDIA LocalSystem Container cannot run automatically?
YES!!!! Thanks a real lot bro!

I think someone mentioned it here so I'll say it again, for me it was not displaying because i had my cable plugged in the motherboard hdmi/dp. As soon as I plugged the cable in the the display port of the graphics card, all the resolutions showed up and I was able to get the high 360 hertz that I intended on setting it on
This! I was so busy cleaning my table I did not notice I replug the HDMI cable to the mobo instead of GPU, haha

Hello, I did all these steps and my display settings option on Nvidia is still not showing. It gave me a video option finally (only showed 3D options before) but still nothing for display. I am on a Gigabyte laptop with a 3050 ti card on windows 11.
Any ideas? I'm going bonkers trying to figure this out lol.
Update: For others looking, after literal weeks of searching and talking to experts, I found out that if you are using the laptops screen, some models you cannot do this with it seems for some dumb reason. So unless you hookup a different monitor, you're F'd.
It's an Nvidia problem. Because their idiots..... There's no real good reason other than Nvidia sucking.
Hope that saves someone elses time. Lol.
Hey bro i did all it still missing display setting nevidia mine gtx 750 ti try all this still missing why
I was able to fix on my Omen O17 by going into the bios and selecting "discrete" instead of "hybrid" in the display settings. For HP laptop to get to bios you need to shut down, wait 5 seconds, turn on then spam "esc" key to get to the bios. Hope this helps.
