-The Story of Sunrise at The Point-
Early in the morning on Sunday May 25th, 2014 backstage at the Revival Music Festival at Harmony Park Music Garden in Geneva, MN I was hanging with a few friends and we were trying to figure out something to film. I am very fortunate to have some amazingly talented friends and Max Graham, of Kind Country and The Burbillies, and I decided to grab some gear and head down to the Point. As we were talking the Eastern skies were just starting to brighten up and we knew Sunrise was fast approaching. Johnny Hothands Kovarik joined us and with the help of some wonderful friends like Josh Bruhn and Liberty Madison we brought a bunch of gear down to The Point, a spot along the Western Edge of Lake Geneva, famous for it's amazing Sunrises. There was a friendly group of folks already at The Point preparing for Sunrise and they were a great group to experience and share and aid us in filming this wonderful moment. Without any plan, Max and Johnny "Hothands" Kovarik began to play one of their original tunes "The Shore" and around halfway through the take, the Sun crested the horizon over the Eastern edge of the lake and began to rise over the group viewing the performance by Max and Johnny. It was truly a magical moment and I'm very happy to be able to share it with all of you. Keep an eye out for future editions of "Sunrise at the Point"!
