  • The Planet Zoo update 1.17 adds a new interactive animal encounter experience for a selection of walkthrough habitat species. This includes all 7 of the new animals in the Barnyard Animal Pack, but also 12 other animals already in game, including 5 base game species.
    As such I've upgraded all 12 of the starter habitats for species that have animal encounter capabilities. Now part of the Starter Habitat Collection! Download from Steam Workshop:

    Maybe a challenge idea (also community challenge) we can make up certain rules and requirements just like in challenge/career mode to keep the game interesting? I fins myself unsure of where to start because there are so many ideas.
    Love this update of the habitats! It has already given me some inspiration ❤

    When I was young living in Amsterdam I remember the walk through at the zoo with the monkeys. It was like an aviary. We were allowed to feed them. Looking back at now it was probably not a good idea. 😂

    Great work! I use your starter habitats in all my zoos cause I just don’t have the patience for building. Is a starter habitat remaster series on the horizon?

      It's probably likely, there's some older ones that aren't up to scratch with my current building capabilities!

    How do you keep neutral animals like lemurs and reindeer from getting stressed when all the guests pile into the habitat? My usual method of "block the guests' view in several places" doesn't work as well when the guests can wander everywhere.

    • @PlasticSwans
      @PlasticSwans  2 месяца назад +1

      That is a problem! I wish there was a way to limit number of guests that can enter. For smaller animals, my solution would be to create a small hard shelter that only the animal can get inside, just bear in mind this has to be small enough that the keepers and still vacuum out any poop going on in there from the outside. That would work for the lemurs. Unfortunately for the reindeer, any space big enough for them to navigate inside is also going to be big enough for guests to navigate. The 'keep quiet' signs might alleviate the issue somewhat

      And I feel like bigger habitats also help. And keeping the guest number a bit lower (if financially possible). Thats also nice for your graphics card etc 😂

    My guests wont enter the enclosures and i have all of the checks done. I'm not sure what's happening.

    • @PlasticSwans
      @PlasticSwans  2 месяца назад

      Have you added a path inside? The blueprints automatically delete pathing unfortunately, and the walkthroughs need at least a small path to get guests to enter

  • @Thomas-bk4id
    @Thomas-bk4id 2 месяца назад

    Do you need a path or can people just walk around

    • @PlasticSwans
      @PlasticSwans  2 месяца назад +1

      Yeah you do need a path extending at least a little into the habitat, but you can make this a null path if you don't like one being in there
