I freaking love mine. Awesome knife. People ask do you really need over 20 guns, hundreds edc and tactical knives and that crazy folding sword? My answer is yes. Yes I do.
I carry two of them these days, but the G10 models. Also carry a Vaquero Voyager XL and a Frenzy. Hope to never use any of them for their intended purpose but if I do I’ll explain later. California laws are the worst. Since I’m allowed to carry big folders I will continue to do so.

Yes, that's true....I'm very much from Texas....but, the history points to the fact that the clip point on a Bowie was inspired by the Spanish Navaja (that's what this Espada (Spanish for Sword) is heavily inspired by. If you continue down the history, the Spanish forges were inspired by the Roman Iberian occupation as well as the Jack Knife which has Germanic origins. The navaja started the lock craze as they have a slip joint 3 to 4 ratchet lock. Just some fyi ;) Later, as the Spanish came to the America's, well you know the rest....and then Bowie was inspired to add his flare to an amazing blade shape.
