    I love that you're an open book, Mey. Everyone else is so secretive, which I can understand that they don't want people to steal their ideas, but I love that you show us your ideas and your products. I appreciate you and your channel so much. Thank you for teaching us about Zazzle. It is the one platform I want to use because I am a crafter, too.

    Hi Mey. Thanks for the video. From what I can understand is that Collections and Categories are 2 different things on Zazzle although I haven't been able to figure out the difference yet

    • @beckyr9908
      @beckyr9908 2 года назад +4

      Categories are how you keep your store organized. Categories and subcategories underneath to help know what you have created. Ex. Home - Kitchen - Mugs. Collections are how you want to show things together. Ex. You can have a collection of all the mugs you created no matter the design. Or you can have a collection of several items with one design on all of them. One item can be in multiple collections, but only in one category.

  • @MovieVigilante

    23:23 For store category, you clicked on "change" when you should have clicked on "new." This would have allowed you to create your desired category and upload the category's image to your store front. You can still do that after the fact by moving it from "New Products" but it's less work for you if you do it the first way.
    Categories are not the same as collections.

      If you have the all access membership of CF and are downloading designs that say "POD" on their licencing- than yes.
      However, many platforms don't really like that people do that as it creates repetitive content on the platform, so I wouldn't recommend doing that on a platform, only on your own website.
      I am making a video just about that, as many people have been using items that are sold to be used as is- and are finding their accounts banned.

    • @MeyTribe
      @MeyTribe  Год назад +1

      I actually never make sub-categories.
      Categories are made via the products page on the sidebar, or when uploading a product- choose "new" on the category part.
      Collections- go to collections, click on add new, and add a new collection, following that- go to the products page and mark the items you want and choose the action of adding to collection.
      If you want- post this question in the group- a lot of us can answer back with screenshots.

    Hi Mey, I have an intrusive question about zazzle and taxes. I know you are not a lawyer but you are the best shot I have at understanding my issues at the moment. I am Latin, I live in Central America so I have to fill out the W-8BEN form so the USA can claim taxes over what I earn, since my country doesn’t have a treaty with them, they will claim 30% taxes over my earning, that is fine.
    What I don’t understand is if zazzle will pay those taxes for me to the IRS or if I have to save the money to pay them myself. I found on the site they report the earrings, but “reporting it” to me sounds like they just inform the IRS of my earnings but not necessarily send the money.
    Can you confirm that they retain and pay the taxes to the IRS? At least in your experience.
    Again, any information would be great, thanks in advanced for your help and sorry in advance for whatever trouble I might have caused with this doubt.

      YUP. The thing is- the designs cannot fit everything like on RB, as there are over 1500 products on Zazzle.
      However, when you create 1 product- you can enable the buyers to make other items with it.
      There was a video I made last month buying from viewers- in it I showed how I found cool designs from several people on Zazzle, and as a customer- made them applicable on other items !
      ruclips.net/video/7djBf-20_LM/видео.html
      I can also tell you that yesterday- one of the puzzles I have on on Zazzle- was sold as a sticker, a postcard, and wall art LOL (Never designed these items, but buyers transferred the puzzle design to another item they liked!)

How do I get around this issue so my designs meet the resolution requirements? Thanks for your help! :)

      Zazzle is a Print on demand marketplace, you join, they host, they do the shipping, customer support, you set up your commission, buyer pays them :)
      They don't offer integrations, but I know people who "duplicate" the item to their own stores and just ordered on Zazzle when someone orders from them. Or use the Zazzle HTML sharing code you get with each product to "create" it in your store- but sale still runs through Zazzle.

    Hello Mey, I opened my Zazzle store recently. I noticed that you are using Creative Fabrica art directly from CF and putting them directly on Zazzle products. In past videos you mentioned that we should always edit CF graphics. I know it said Commercial and POD but if you stop being a CF subscriber you will have to pull your products off the market since you didn't customize the art after purchase and upload to Zazzle. Plus many other people will have same graphics. Am I missing something here? Just wondering and not wanting any drama in the future. Thanks Mey.

    • @MeyTribe
      @MeyTribe  Год назад

      Well,
      First, I often use items from CF since whenever I use one of my own designs- people copy it pixel for pixel... or sometimes it's simply easier to pick something up from them.
      I am not sure what you mean by past videos- did you mean the previous ones you've watched- ones that could be AFTER this video?
      Cause - 1. Using CF elements as is is something that has gotten people banned in the recent months (not on Zazzle, and after making this video)
      and 2- you are legally allowed to use them as is without modifying them- if they have full POD licence.
      Now that CF is changing their memberships and licencing, as well as people getting banned from platforms from using items as is- I have not been sharing these types of designs on the channel for months.
      And yeah, if you stop being a CF member you have to remove your designs- unless you purchased them separately, or used them in a way that is still NOT clear because again- they are changing their licencing... I mention that a bit on my latest goals video, following people asking me why i stopped using CF in videos and a convo I had with them.
      You're not missing anything :) You're just watching me show how to upload a tshirt to Zazzle and using a CF design as a quick example- which i later deleted as it's not in any of my Zazzle niches . (in a way that is legal as that design was OKayed to be used as is)

      @Mey Aroyo Thank you, Mey, for your detailed explanation. I haven't looked at your most recent videos in the past couple of months because I'm continuing researching solutions from one problem to another and end up all over RUclips. I have been trying to focus on one thing at a time, which can be challenging. If not, I end up stating a lot of stuff on not completing much. It's also difficult because we have to research, teach ourselves, and then implement. So sometimes this takes at least me all over the place, trying to find a solution to very specific questions. Im also publishing books on Amazon KDP, and that's another animal. Thank you, Mey for being our teacher..

      It does take time for things to appear on Zazzle, even as a seller. Sometimes I noticed that new changes - I can only see when I'm logged out or from a different browser.

    hey Mey! I know I'm late (binging and catching up!), but wanted to say thanks for this in-depth series on Zazzle, and your honesty! I always wonder why there are not more videos about Zazzle on YT!?
    I had a question... I might've missed it, but how do upload sizes work? for instance, I know each item is individual, but can I use the same file? As in, I make a design using Canva, for say Red bubble, at 4500X5400, then it's saved to my drive. Can I just use that file for my Zazzle products and adjust accordingly? I'm really hoping I don't have to do all my designs again lol! Thanks for your info, and sorry this comment is so long!

      I am so pleased seeing people on this channel interested in Zazzle, seriously thought it would not be interesting to most- as they are very different from most POD platforms, and require a lot of work LOL
      Sizes on Zazzle, as you said, are different from item to item. They usually specify the printing size of the item in inches. Take that inche amount and multiple by 300 for 300 DPI in pixels. OR use smaller sizes that are seamless patterns- as Zazzle also has that option to make a pattern.
      There are a lot of items that could fit the design sizes you've just mentioned, like notebooks, notepads, mugs, shirts, and plenty of other products.
      What are the products you're most interested in selling on Zazzle? Maybe I can add some of them to the list of the upcoming Zazzle tutorials...

  • @SoldAt1stSite
    @SoldAt1stSite Год назад

    Not a Bug! Hi Mey....Zazzle tile works, you're not doing it right Mey. To make your pattern design smaller go back into the TILE TOOL and ajust size there. If you use the sizing - button or + then you are adjusting the space between each of the design elements, in this case, design squares. If you wanted the pattern smaller, use the design tool with the Width and Hight selector. If you want to adjust the space between the design, for example....if you are making polka dots : if you want your polka dots farther away from each other, then use the sizing - button you used in the video . if you wish to have smaller dots and want the distance between the dots to remain the same, use the tile tool to adjust the size. Happy Zazzling

If i wanna use Creative Fabrica graphics to design a tshirt, a sticker, whatever, on Teepublic, redbubble... I will take that graphics to Canva, and add text. Since Zazzle has text options embedded already- I do not NEED to use Canva.
      If i wanted to create a text that curves in a way, has different effects, I will be using Canva- but doing so would cancel the future option of creating a text on a design that buyers can customize :)

    Signing up and creating a store is free, but beware of these fees:
    1. Zazzle's fee. The price of your products is up to you, but Zazzle takes a 30% (!!. ).. commission on net sales before taxes and shipping.
    2. Shipping service fee. Zazzle provides packing slips and shipping labels that you can print at home to help expedite the process. The cost of shipping is passed from the customer to you, and the amount is automatically deducted from your sales..
