    The more I see clips of Sonny Payne--the more awed I am at how fabulous he was!! NOBODY could drive a band and swing as hard as Sonny!!

    Great job by Basie and his orchestra as always. I like the version by the 4 trombonists in Big Friendly Jazz Orchestra

    Sonny Payne could bring the heat on drums.. all star line-up, one of his best. Snooky Young and Thad Jones, heavyweights

    "Count Basie and his Magnificent organization".....was how Sinatra introduced them..during the many vegas /concerts etc. performances....they worked together

    On Sunday April 1,1951 72 years ago Les Paul and Mary Ford appeared on Toast of The Town singing “How High The Moon” I wish y’all will show that footage on RUclips😀👍🏿
