Yes, Ashton is the drummer, but I've seen a video where a second drummer takes over for him during a performance so that he can join the other 3 up front to play the guitar and interact with the fans a little bit. It's definitely not impossible for them to allow him to take a 5 minute break from drumming in order to sing but oh well. We all know how good of a singer he is regardless of how many solos he gets.
