This is hands down one of my favourite cars of all time I have been looking around for a good review of it and this if the best if I’ve found you go over everything in good detail
Isuzu provides both the engine and the drivetrain for the D-Max. The Isuzu iTEQ engine has been preserved, although improvements have been made to it. The standard turbo version of the 2.5-liter engine produces 87 kW (117 horsepower) and 280 Nm (207 lbft) of torque, while the VGS Turbo version generates 101 kW (135 hp) and 320 Nm (236 lbft) of torque. Both versions are currently available for purchase.
