I learned from a RUclips video (probably yours) to put in the date of the original listing in my custom SKU. I also add (abbreviated) where I bought it (like YS for Yard Sale or HH for Habitat) just for curiosity sake, lol - and how much I paid for it - I get all the info from my inventory spread sheet. It really helps to know how much I paid for it and how long is has been listed when responding to an offer. Thank you for ALL the information you provide! Your channel has been a real asset to me as a new reseller. I'm going on two years now on eBay. 😀
I am going to start using that date offer when in delete and relist. Thats a great ideal I have been accepting a lot of offers just to clear out inventory 😊
I like to do my Custom SKU like this: 06/2024 - GW2 - BIN A2 The GW2 is where I got it and what I paid for it - in this example, Goodwill for $2.00. Then when I get or send an offer, I know how much I paid for it and how long it has been listed - that helps me decide how low I can go on offers. The Bin A2 is where it is located in my inventory. Another thing I recently did was go into all of my listings and set my STORE CATEGORY for each item as the YEAR it was listed. This way, when I go to run a markdown promotion, I can quickly select every item from the store category by year, and mark down older year items more, and mark down more recent year items less. Quick and easy!
Thank you so much for the videos. I learn something new every time!!😀😀 You and your husband are tooooo funny!! Thanks again and keep the videos coming. Thank you

Hmmm, I like that store category idea. Gonna have to see if it is something I should consider especially for these old listings.
I just started putting a date on my SKU number also. I appreciate all your videos and the valuable information you give us.
