Hi my name is Lilly and I am an American expat living on Koh Samui, Thailand for the last 8 years. My Thai husband is named Wat and we have 2 half Thai, half American boys named Luke and Leon.
Wat and I have owned several businesses together on Maenam walking street. If you come to Koh Samui give us a visit at our restaurant Lilikoi Bistro.

I did the overnight sleeper from Bangkok to Suratthani, and the ferry over to Koh Samui many years ago. It was so comfy sleeping in my the upper bunk. The passengers' beds were made up by stewards and we were all bedded down by around 8.30-9 pm. I slept like a baby. It was a wonderful experience.
I enjoy watching your vlogs... You're getting better each and every time. You have a beautiful family... Life is beautiful and you're living life to the fullest... I'm so happy for you... YOLO!

Your videos bring me so much joy! Three years ago this upcoming May, I spent three weeks in Thailand. One of my favourite experiences was taking the train from Hat Yah to Bangkok, although it was not nearly as nice as yours was! I have wanted to take my husband to Thailand and it’s at the top of the bucket list once travel is allowed again!

Very good review from the train station to the train. I’m happy that you got the modern train. It’s much much nicer and more clean than that 1st class train in the previous ep. hi, i am thai. from my experiences with this new train for quite a number of trips, i think you've made a very well review here. but there is a secret you should know about how to select seats. you will feel a lot more comfortable if you choose a seat in the middle of the car. for short, avoid a seat near the door on both ends of the car.
you still look so enjoyable in every thing you do as usual. so happy and cheerful.
I admire how you appreciate the simplest things in life. Most of which a lot of us would take for granted and complain about.

Just wanna say, had a First Class private coupe, brand new everything, usb, wifi, wine, menu delivery, private shower, full moon outside as the train rolled on gently arriving at 6.30 am. It was amazing and absolutely loved it!
(Had to go by train one new years/ sonkran since all planes were sold out to VTE for 4 days).
Never stop exploring.........so keep going to offer in us amazing videos like this.!!!!!!!

I really like to travel on the trains in Thailand, the train’s conductors are very kind. If they see you with many luggage, they will help to pass them down to you without asking.

That looks fun and the train is much cleaner than I thought! A while ago we did a day trip BKK/Ayutthaya on "Normal Rapid" class and it costs us 65 baht for adult/48 baht for kid. Our daughter loved it! You should try, if you haven't done so already :) Have fun and stay safe!

I traveled to Kanchanaburi on a very basic train, very old with a few rattles but clean, the air conditioning was the windows down, loved every second of it.

Luke love sweets like any typical kid his age however he gets hyper and really active. Maybe he can have less sweet snacks and other healthy treat.

Since discovering your channel I have enjoyed binge watching to catch up. I lived in the suburbs of River Ridge and never knew about your good food there. Your new restaurant has my favorites of Mexican and Cajun. Blending is tasty too lol. Actually I grew up on TexMex in East Texas.

Hi, Nice VDO and good song to used, especially move me to think of the Southern Railway when I was a boy who traveled to my mother's hometown "Hatyai". l was delighted to see a wonderful American couple and Thai man, also Luke' s gentleness and cleverness ... from Bangkok
Had the best memories on this 2nd class "lod fai" from Penang to Bangkok a few years ago. I was so impressed by the convertible sofa-bed. When the canteen served watermelon, the presentation was five stars and the staff treated the elderly with such respect. Truly first class in many ways! Your video really did justice to this lovely gem in Thailand.
i sure felt the shift from city to island life from your past couple of videos. also, just spent the weekend in nola and doing a swamp tour down in the atchafalaya basin..... my o my, how your daily interactions with attitudes and life must be so different!! i cannot wait to get back to the kingdom!!
This reminds me of train travel in India where the seats were iron I swear, and that was in the first class air conditioned car. The blankets were so dirty it was unpleasant to touch. Only someone who has traveled on trains no where near this nice can understand Lily's happiness! The cleanliness and safety on most western trains are never guaranteed in this part of the world. I actually believed the train hurling through the night might tip over from the feeling in the top bunk. I would never walk barefoot on any train but I get her enthusiasm.
