- Sermon quote: "Inside every mistake is a doorway to possibility. Mistakes can take you to another level. There's something hidden in mistakes that you can find. You won't make much progress by not making mistakes. They can take you to a level that nothing else can." The bible that I read tells me that the God I serve is a God of mercy. The word mercy means to extend help to the lowliest or the most undeserving. It implies compassion that overshadows punishment. Even when justice demands it. So great is God’s mercy that it is almost inexpressible. God’s mercy knows no limit. There is none who is beyond his saving power. His mercy reaches to the highest mountain and flows to the lowest valley. God is not only the God of second chances; He is the God of another chance. This is good news because most of us mess up the second chance fairly quickly. One of the amazing facets of God's character is His incredible patience with us. Psalm 86:15 says it well: "But you, O Lord, are a God merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness." Micah 7:18 says, "Who is a God like you, pardoning iniquity and passing over transgression for the remnant of his inheritance? He does not retain his anger forever, because he delights in steadfast love." The Bible is full of people who received second chances, and even third and fourth chances: Peter, Jonah, Mark, Samson, David, and others. All trophies of God’s grace. Just as God is patient and forgiving, He wants His children to be patient with and forgiving of others. "Therefore, as God's chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience" (Colossians 3:12). He gives us second chances, and we must give the same to others. Jesus gives a stern warning to those who refuse to forgive, saying that if we will not forgive others, God will not forgive us (Matthew 6:15; see also Ephesians 4:32; Colossians 3:13; and Proverbs 19:11). If someone is truly repentant, then we are obligated to forgive (Matthew 18:21-22).

I can't talk to people who believe themeselves to be so holly and pure about my mistakes or sin....because they don't know how to help a brother who has fallen into sin. . But God himself has had to get into my relationship that was unholy to brake it up to save me .. and one pastor from Fresno California. . Said I was not a Christian. ..and he said he didn't want me in his church. ...I was broken in pieces looking for God's forgiveness and mercy and that pastor doesn't know the real love of God. ...I'm not going to say his name but I believe that those kind of preachers are going to have to see somebody in their own family fall to learn to be merciful. .. it's not his church and HE did not die on the cross for me. .I receive your encouragement YOU don't know what I'm going through but I have to trust God even if I end homeless and alone. ...it's a horrible feeling. ..my flesh and Satan are doing everything to drive me crazy but I hope. ...in the middle of NO hope. . Because sometimes I just wish I was dead. ..to finish this great agony. ...I'm still going through it. ..I don't want to doubt but it's very hard. ...sometimes. ...those who have failed will understand what I mean. ..If God has helped YOU out of your agony of despair. ...and not knowing if you were going to make it to happiness again. ...God bless you. ..who have a heart for the hurting ones who Satan is trying to take to hell with him. ..

I read your heart! I feel your pain! That preacher was wrong to do what he did to you. We both know that Jesus would never do that. He would that none would be lost, and all would come to him.
I was brought to the Apostolic way at age 21. I fell about age 26
I have been out of his presence for 33 years. But he has never let me go. No matter what he would always bring himself to my memory. I longed for him, but i never thought he would ever forgive me of all the things i had done. I struggled and fought myself, and God about forgiveness. We have a hard time forgiving ourselves, and feel worthless and so sure he would never forgive. But, let me tell you we have a forgiving God! Search for him in prayer, seek forgiveness, make up your mind once and for all you will serve him, and him only. And you will soon find him with the coat of many colors waiting to wrap it around you with forgiveness, love, joy, and happiness of your return. The angels also will dance and rejoice! Just believe, be courageous, and be strong. Give yourself to him, thats all he wants. 100% YOU!

I wouldn't worry about it. Every preacher to include Moses, Noah and David fell short of the perfect will of God. I know some of the greatest ones, yet they had some defect. God uses imperfect vessels. Just simply know that has blessed you to the know the truth, and follow it unto the end.
