    I agree, Filipinos needs to develop their speaking and writing in academic standard to be known as world class overseas contract worker. The Filipinos are regarded as one of the most hardworking and loyal employees but not assertive because of poor in communication and writing skills. We need to encourage reading and more essay writing in our education system specially critical analysis to develop more confidence in life.

      @,Jose Galan , I noticed after the country had adapted Tagalog as
      National Language ,English language had deteriorated , so the
      new generation had strived more
      for Tagalog . I think Colleges and Universities should maintain English as a Subject . .

    Focus on getting ready for the exam; make sure you understand the test format and question types. I was born and raised where English isn't the first language, but my scores were great the first and only time I took the exam because I PREPARED FOR IT. Unfortunately, instead of looking into themselves, some people tend to blame the rules or the system or other factors that aren't really relevant to their English proficiency.

      I took the TOEFL in Canada in 1982 as a new immigrant and I got an almost perfect score , I read a lot of books in English and it helped. English taught in Philippines school system is not enough,you have to do the work yourself. I agree with you 💯

    Negosyo po ito nga mga ielts test center! Dito po sa Canada ang daming english barok na nakakapagbtrabaho ng marangal. Kahit mga doctor at nurses po dito ay hindi perfect english. Grabe talaga pinoy. Gumagaya kasi na gusto british at american accent para makapasa.

    It's comprehension and not memorization. Here in the west, they memorize certain subject matters but most of the time comprehension is the most important.

      I'm sorry sir but I am not agree with you. Ang essay for IELTS maraming types and structures kaya maraming bumabagsak. Aside from 1 hour time limit and word counts, test takers should use the proper usage of linking verbs which is very seldom for us Filipinos to link in our daily lives. LRS tasks are quite easy incontrast with Wtask.

    My suggestion... take as many practice as you can, particularly in the writing, listening and reading parts, so many free online practice tests, speak as often as possible with a fluent speaker if you can find one, until you feel comfortable conversing without you having to think of you're supposed to say, meaning you have to speak it 24/7.. probably even in your sleep

    Reason why madaming hiring na Nurses dito,Ang katotohanan talaga e mga nurse dito kalimitan over work then low salary lalo na sa NHS,Mga British nurse mismo sumusuko sa pressure nila.Pinoy lang talaga di madaling sumuko😂Minsan 1 nurse sa 14 or more na pasyente,then OT pa,dahil nga lack sa staff.Kagandahan lang kasi dito mas mahaba ang maternity leave mo kesa sa ibang bansa e.Kung magwork ka din naman abroad siguro good country is US,Luxemburg,Norway,Australia.mas mataas ang sahod.
    When getting ready on your IELTS exam,you can download the app on your phone"British council"English test,madami dong examples&free test,try it even audio&video,Basta British council nakalagay para magka-ideya po kayo.Ulit-ulitin niyo lang.Tas sulat kayo sa papel mga Essay kahit anong topic,use proper word wag gagamit ng slang.

    Pinoy nurses, when it comes to exam always think of procedure, what is the procedure? How are you going to do the procedure? Explain why it's the right way, how are you going to tackle it? How do you see the outcome, prognosis, ensuring the respect and privacy of your patients, information to family and relatives, reporting your daily activities exactly how it happened in individual case notes, reporting and handover to the team, always a team player, that's my tip....been there for 35 years as a registered nurse, no probs...don't "PANIC""........

      Dido davies you are wrong. You need to have good verbal english and written skills in healthcare field if you work in UK and US lalo na sa written skills, doon nila makikita kung paano ka mag isip. Dito sa US, Anatomy ang Psychology class ko kailangan ko explain ang topic by writting an essay, not only by memorizing.

    Hindi ko maintindihan bakit may ganyang mga test sa English proficiency. Sabi ng mga kaibigan kong nurses at medical laboratory scientists dito sa Amerika na nag-aral sa Pilipinas, hirap na hirap sila sa TOEFL at IELTS. Mayroong ilang beses kumuha bago makapasa. Kaya sabi ng mga friends ko na kung gusto kong raw mag-aral pa dito sa Amerika, kailangan ko raw kumuha ng English Proficiency Test dahil sa Pilipinas ako nag-aral at nag-graduate. Eh, noong nag-apply ako ng professional designation certification, post-baccalaureate, at graduate school, wala ni isang university na nag-require sa akin na kumuha noon. Tapos ko na lahat yung tatlo. Now shooting for Ph.D.

    Kasi nasanay sa putol-putol na English kung nagte-text sa mga kaibigan nila sa Facebook at ibang social media. Hindi tuloy makapasa sa foreign language. It is hard unless you practice a lot to enhance it. Sanaying magsulat ng tamang spelling at grammar sa mga kaibigan para ma brush up ang English. Kahit inaral natin hindi kasiya. Kailangan mag practice din lalo na sa accent.

    • @luisapiquero3575
      @luisapiquero3575 5 лет назад

      Eh di doon ka nalang pupunta sa malaking sweldo na bansa ano ba ang problema doon ang masasabi ko pag ikaw naka tapos ng nurse sa germany AT na isapa mo ang board exam dito at regesterd ka na nurse dito sa germany AT perfekt ang german language mo ang masasabi ko malaki ang sahod mo. Pero Yong mga nurses na nag tapos sa pinas at di sila naka pasa ng board exam uli dito at batok tot german ng nurse maliit lang talaga yan sweldo Nila. Kaya depende yan sa Kategorie ng na eh pasa mo higit sa lahat german language AT passeng board dito sa germany of course pag di ka talaga maka ng german language dito at mag Aral ka mula dito yan pag yan di mo ma abot sempre nurseng aid kalang dito kasi di mo na ipasa sa pinas nurse ka pero dito di ka pa nurse. Kaya umulit ka pa uli ng konte. Lalong lalo na Kong spicialist nurse ka dito malaki sahod mo dito pero kailangan perfekt german language mo at pasado ka sa board exam dito sa germany pero di ka naka pasa hanggang helper nurse ka lang dahil bagsak ka ng board exam dito. .Kahit nga na mag trabaho ka sa hotel dito Bilang supervisor sa hotel kailangan fluent ka sa germany language at pag susulat at malaki ren ang sahod depende Kong ano ang Position ng trabaho mo.

    Haha, and here we are in the Phils using LOCAL DIALECTS in the early grades, and some groups advocating for TAGALOG as the language of instruction in schools. Ain't we going the other way? Asian neighbouring countries are now incorporating english in their school curriculums, even coming in droves to the Phils to learn english, or setting up their own english schools, becoz they now recognize the advantage of being able to speak English properly, or at least conversational english.

    IELTS is BUSINESS because even majority native speakers will surely fail them. Seriously, I have seen the worst spelling from native speakers working in the health care. Why, because supposedly the initial main purpose was only to make sure that non-english speakers are can communicate verbally and in writing in the workplace. The IELTS requirement scores of of 6.5 or 7.0 in any of the 4 bands are an overkill if you do not aim for managerial levels. The last time I checked, one attempt is 300CAD for academic. Go figure if you have to take it several times only because you failed one of the bands, you're not allowed to retake the band where you failed, you are to retake them all. On the other hand, the Philippines needs to STEP UP in their english subjects and writing skills. In my college days, I don't remember being taught about writing styles and rules such as APA etc...

  • @Marie-pw8dl
    @Marie-pw8dl 4 года назад

    I blamed the bilingual medium of instruction required by the Ministry of Education since the Cory government. It's about time to return to English medium of instruction in all subjects, except of course the Filipino subject. Tagalog can easily learn for as long as a person lives in the Philippines.

    Bakit di nalang dito sa Pilipinas mag trabaho o mag negosyo para maunlad ang ekonomiya ng ating bayan tulad ng mga Hapon at mga Koreano? Halos lahat ng mga Pinoy gustong maging enfermera at OFW. Kailangan din natin ang mga inhinyero para iayos ang mga kasaysayang gusali at ang mga bulok na kalsada sa ibang parte ng bansa at kailangan din natin ang mga espesyalista sa komputadora para sa modernisasyon ng lumang teknolohiya na ginagamit sa eskwela, gobyerno, ospital, agricultura, transportasyon, etc. Sana maunlad din ang ibang propesyon para mas marami ang "job opportunities" dito sa Pilipinas.

    English , my goodness ... hindi natin kailangan yan ... look at our nieghbors... Japan, Korea , Taiwan, etc.. etc ... they don't know how to speak English ... At tingnan ninyo ang economy ng mga bansang yan ... The best on this planet ... English speaking , kick them out , it's not gonna help the Philippines economy .... I'm sorry but my own opinion ...

      I AGREE strongly.
      This country Japan, Korea, Taiwan and other prosperous Asian country are a good model to us Filipinos to make our country PHILIPPINES great.

      That is why Japanese people are able to keep their pride for their country, because they work hard for their country instead of working for other english speaking country. That is clever to focus to develop and help our country beautiful PHILIPPINES, instead of trying soo hard WASTING a lot of money and energy just to be in another country.

      If you're trying to be a nurse in an English speaking country, you have to. How can you have good communication with other health workers if don't understand them or deliver the correct information about your patient. There are qualities to be a successful on this field like the messenger (ex. patient) and receiver (ex. nurse) which is English. It's very critical because it's the patient life on risk and as nurse could be charge with negligence and loss your license.

      Corruption, nepotism, and disiplina ang problema ng Pilipinas. Huwag na nating sisihin ang abilidad natin sa English dahil kahit Japanese, Chinese and Korean nag-aaral ng English. Medyo nakauna lang tayo sa English.

      Ms Teryosa depende po kasi sa visa yun katulad ko need ko lang 5.0 all band score kasi working visa ako as a chef.... pag stundent visa need at least 6.0 all band score or 6.5 all band score, pag partner visa or fiancé visa 4.0 all band score pwede na,pag nurse 7.0 all band score.... kaya isang bagsak wala uulit ka talaga.... mahal pa naman kumuha ng IELTS Exam P10k may kasamahan ako sa review center pang 5 na yata na take isa lang bagsak nya ayun re-take ulit, ewan ko lang kung pumasa na sya....

    IELTS is a British Proficiency Exam.... Ang construction of English natin ay hindi British kundi American English kaya ganyan ang result. Even Americans if they go to work in The UK, they take this English Proficiency Exam... For example in America they say "color" but in The UK they would say "colour." They call it ground floor, we call it first floor., and so on and so forth. A lot of us speak eloquent American English. English is one of our first language according to our Philippine Constitution.

      Kung dyan ka rin lang sa pinas, ok lang. Pero kung plano mo mag-abroad sa mga english speaking countries kelangan mo ng english. Kung gusto mo bypass ang english, pwede ka sa japan, south korea, germany, etc. Pero yung process ng pag learn ng bagong language mas mahihirapan ka pa kasi di mo kinalakihan. Unlike kung english, simula't pagkabata pinag-aaralan na. Practice lang araw-araw magiging magaling ka din.

    • @jettereq272
      @jettereq272 5 лет назад

      It's about the same, except for the accent and the some differences in vocabulary. British Council IELTS is also what is usually used even in North America. You do not have to have the British accent to pass. You just have to be used to hearing it, speak clearly and fluently, and write legibly. Of course you need to learn how to skim, read fast and understand fast for the reading part. Practice is all it takes not unless you have a problem with spelling and grammar, then that is another challenge.
