    Just a heads up, 2 pints of water for that cooker may be enough but for the 23qt presto a lot of folks use you need a minimum of 3qt for 90min. Everyone should follow their own cookers guide, I think it’s just something important to note is all!
    Thank you for the video. Great info!

    • @ezmushroom

      Yes, i can do a full video on this sometime. I would grow out a grain jar until 100% colonized then place a verm casing layer (sterilized) along the top of the grain (to avoid conatms). Then just spray the verm once a day.
      You can also pack straight wood substrate in the Jar and inject directly into the wood. I have done this and LM loves it .

    Thanks for sharing this! Do you tighten the jars before putting in the pressure cooker or find they are hard to open? I’ve got my jars ready and they’re not mason jars either and wondering if there’s a chance they’re going to be hard to reopen. Thanks

    • @ezmushroom
      @ezmushroom  3 года назад +2

      Should be fine but dont open them after theyve been sterilized as this will contaminate them again. Unless your using a Still Air Box.
      If there is a hole in the top of the jar lid they wont be hard. If there is not the jars will be like unopened super market jars which are vaccumed.

      @@ezmushroom so just creating a hole in the lid made the fruit cross the 2 inch gap to fruit out the top? Did you tape up the hole?

    • @ezmushroom

    the fruiting bodies (the actual mushrooms) are not the same as the mycelium. You are harvesting mycelium, mostly. Not saying you're doing it wrong, but it's unusual

    • @ezmushroom
      @ezmushroom  Год назад +2

      Two things, firstly the mycelium contains the majority of the best compounds.
      www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5855563/
      www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5987239/
      Secondly, that big mass of white stuff is actually a fruiting body which has fruited invitro. When you've worked with Lions mane enough you learn the mycelium is so thin and whispy its barely even visible infact 100% colonization with Lions Mane is barely visible.
      Once it turns white its pinning / fruiting.
      three years ago, when i made this video I also thought that was pure Myc but now I don't think it is.
