Just a heads up, 2 pints of water for that cooker may be enough but for the 23qt presto a lot of folks use you need a minimum of 3qt for 90min. Everyone should follow their own cookers guide, I think it’s just something important to note is all! Thank you for the video. Great info!

@@ezmushroom Ah, ok, that makes sense. I've seen multiple videos with the foil, but haven't heard anyone saying what the purpose of the foil was. Thanks for the super fast response! This is RipperJack from season 2 of Tiger King FYI. New sub here
I got some LM LC and it only seemed to work on one of the 5 or so jars I used it on, I used that jar for G2G which seems to be working though It's a bit annoying.
Yes, i have a video I'm making at the moment on how to do this but with oysters. Just waiting for the jars to fully colonize now. Get yourself the largest jars possible (I use 1 Litre). Leave a gap in the top, sterilize then add grain into the gap.
Second one yes. Just fill the jar up with water, leave overnight then tip the water out. If the mycelium fluffs back up after a couple of days it should fruit again.
When you tip the jar lid upside down, is that rust that I see? If it is, that can be pretty dangerous if it gets into the mushroom, and this is something that you're going to eat! I just noticed that when you tip the lids upside down.
You can get a smaller tower pressure cooker which should work around 7L. Alternatively get a presto imported from america on ebay, thats what i have done.
I usually fill the Jar up with water and let the substrate soak for 12 hours. If the substrate becomes fluffy again within 48-72 hours i fruit them again, otherwise i throw them out.
3:20 haha a spoon and syringe 🤣 Btw good vid another title could be 'growing lions mane pf tek way Brings back memories of growing cubies 😜 I dont got a pr cooker so i think im gonna order a pre-made sterile growbag filled with grain and with an injection port + a syringe of liquid culture , and innoculate that and wait. Probably more pricy but itl save me alot of time and effort and bigger yields. And i think il fruit it in a good old shotgun terrarium , what do you think?
Pour boiling water over lions mane in jar. Add whole cloves. Cover and store 3-5 days. Strain and refrigerate water. Place lm back in jar with 80 proof organic vodka for 4+ weeks until needed.
just soak it in grain alcohol in a jar for 6 weeks, then strain it. use the left over mushrooms from the alcohol extract and let them barely boil and simmer for about 6 hours. strain that then mix the alcohol and hot water extract together.
Yes, i can do a full video on this sometime. I would grow out a grain jar until 100% colonized then place a verm casing layer (sterilized) along the top of the grain (to avoid conatms). Then just spray the verm once a day. You can also pack straight wood substrate in the Jar and inject directly into the wood. I have done this and LM loves it .
Im going to make a video on creating one soon. Tincture has been sat around in alcohol for 6months! Moving house very soon so will make the video then.
Thanks for sharing this! Do you tighten the jars before putting in the pressure cooker or find they are hard to open? I’ve got my jars ready and they’re not mason jars either and wondering if there’s a chance they’re going to be hard to reopen. Thanks
Should be fine but dont open them after theyve been sterilized as this will contaminate them again. Unless your using a Still Air Box. If there is a hole in the top of the jar lid they wont be hard. If there is not the jars will be like unopened super market jars which are vaccumed. .
EzMushroom thanks so much for your reply. Definitely makes sense now with the hole in the lid and I’ve got that done also. Thanks I really appreciate it

For that I just popped a hole about the size a hole punch makes in the lid before hand. This seemed to yield more mycelium (with the active ingredients) than the small pom poms. Although the pom poms are more aesthetic.
@@snottlebocket Yes, in this video the mycelium also bridges the two inch gap, same will happen if your fruiting out the holes. Just put 2 layers of micropore tape over the hole. Eventually the mycelium will erupt out the hole, then just remove the tape and wait.

the fruiting bodies (the actual mushrooms) are not the same as the mycelium. You are harvesting mycelium, mostly. Not saying you're doing it wrong, but it's unusual
Two things, firstly the mycelium contains the majority of the best compounds. www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5855563/ www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5987239/ Secondly, that big mass of white stuff is actually a fruiting body which has fruited invitro. When you've worked with Lions mane enough you learn the mycelium is so thin and whispy its barely even visible infact 100% colonization with Lions Mane is barely visible. Once it turns white its pinning / fruiting. three years ago, when i made this video I also thought that was pure Myc but now I don't think it is.

Could you get a second flush from the jars?
4 cups vermiculite, 2 cups water, mix to consistency of wet sand, 2 cups brown rice flour powder, mix, pack into jars
Leave a 2 inch gap of substrate from the top of the jar for space the mushrooms to fruit
Whats the atmosphere temperature in your Location ?? ..I think Lion's mane cant grow above 30°C@@torontotom3168
So when you completely remove the mushrooms on top of the jar will it still continue to grow up?
What tinctures are you making with the mushrooms? Can you make a video about it?
Nice and simple explanation.
Thanks and God Bless🙏 you🌹
Bonjour
Après fermeture des bocaux qu'injectez vous dsan les bocaux avant la stérilisation.merci
Can you pop out the cakes and mix them in substrate? Just wondering if that would get you more fruits.
definitely, this was just meant to outline the simplest method.
If I don't have a pressure cooker - is there an alternative for me?
Can i use an instapot pressure cooker?
Yes just make sure you leave it for the appropriate time or maybe a little longer
at 4:49 you inject something before pressure cooking. What is that?
Im checking the needle reaches the substrate nothing is injected.
Why the foil to cover the lids?
Because it stops excess moisture seeping through the micropore tape which can cause bacteria issues.

Lion mane liquid extract in what manner
When you tip the jar lid upside down, is that rust that I see? If it is, that can be pretty dangerous if it gets into the mushroom, and this is something that you're going to eat! I just noticed that when you tip the lids upside down.
How large of a pressure cooker should I get.. I’ve been wanting one for a while anyway
Just what I was looking for, Thanks. I'll go check out the website now

replace BRF with hardwood fuel pellets
