I have found that fresh cut carp works better in the cold weather months and bluegill works well in the warmer months. What’s nice about carp, it can be frozen and used later. Bluegill, however, need to be freshly caught, for they don’t freeze well for bait.
Hey Tom great video I live in Winters Texas and I have been fishing for the last 3 days and all I've got is skunk LOL but I'll keep up keep it up until I catch something have a great day
I found you Tom. To add to the fish in the cemetery pond story, I now understand why Dad wasn't very happy or proud of me when at the age of 13-14, I caught a 2lb bass out of a cemetery pond. Yep, I get it, now.
I like using cut carp more than bluegill cause it has a stronger scent but i use bluegill more because its more available cause i dont hack up big carp since i love fishin for them i just use the small ones i catch😂
I agree, I've been more successful with carp cut bait than with bluegill. It seems to keep better in the freezer too. Yeah, I just use the little ones for bait and let the big ones go. They are a blast to catch!

That has been my experience also. Carp does much better in the freezer. Thanks for watching.
If I was fishing there I would go on the other side with the wind facing my back and use balloon you can catch them more easier.

Right on, good luck! 👍
Cut carp is always a fine choice, cause there such an oily fish. Bluegill is also good. Somedays there prefer one over the other.
Yeah, it's hard to know what bait they will prefer from day to day.

Good thing parents are there to guide us at a young age. Amazing how we understand things as we age.

Are suckers any good for cut bait?
Yep. I've never used them, but I've seen others do it.
