Interesting, I never had that dialogue with the owlbear cub before. Little guy always just showed up at my camp anyway. Lol

I wasn't sure if you had to talk to him or not, so I always do, unless something terrible happens lol

@@beeteedubsplays My experience was, go to the owlbear cave, talk to mother, *leave* peacefully, long rest, come back just to check, see that neither are there, and in the following long rests, the owlbear cub just sort of slinks into the camp.
From there, I start offering it food/pets whatever, but Shadowheart (D:) scares it off by commenting to be careful that it doesn't take your hand off. Next long rest, the cub is back again anyway, to stay.
I think I've only ever done this with one proper run, so I'm not sure if the long rest waits are locked behind story content. ("Cleanup the goblins" lol) or not.

@@nujuju299 oh didn't realize you could get the cub without murdering his family

@@beeteedubsplays I suspect that when I come back the second time, because the mother bear is still dead, that it's from goblins. -- You can still loot the corpse to get the broken spear head and get an owlbear egg from the nest, but the cub is absent at that moment. So given what you've been up to, I'm guessing goblins came by to murderize the mother and took the cub for sport or food. (lol..T_T)
I'm starting to wonder if there's an option to take care of the goblins first, then take a look at the mother and see if all is well?
