I'm here, not because of mr. Mraz, as so many seem to be, but because of the song "Wish the Wind Would Blow Me". It's one of the most heart-breaking songs I've ever heard. I've been going back to it for years, but just now decided to check out Schneider's other songs and wasn't disappointed. Bob Schneider, if you ever read this, thank you for your music. Especially "Wish The Wind...". My family recently suffered a tragic loss: my sister's husband just took his own life. He was a great man who suffered from severe depression & anxiety. He leaves behind 4 sons: 13, 11, 8, & 4. It's a strange comfort hearing your song, because it only intensifies the sadness, but there's something so good about a work of art that finds that place in your heart that is hurting and is somehow able to match it... to understand it. So, anyway. It's kind of real for a youtube comment, but I guess the music brings that response out of me.
I will go through this life And never know who I am or why I'm here Or what I'm doing, or what I'm doing But that's okay, its what we do Everyday, everywhere, all around the world Uh-huh I know my name Take the word of everything I've ever learned Like my father and my father's father It's the way we've always done it And the way we always will Uh-huh Making it up, making it all up I mean, what else can we do? Making it up, making it all up That's the only way to get through Cause life is hard, but life's alright Cause I'm here with you tonight Mmhmm, yeah yeah And Jesus gonna welcome me into heaven When I get there The day that I die I can say for sure that I'll be able As well as I am able to look him in the eye And say "hey, well I did what I could with what I was given" But surely it isn't much, it's just made to do this living and I lived it up And I've been forgiving myself ever since Making it up, making it all up I mean, what else can we do? Just making it up, making it all up Now I know this shit ain't cool Cause life is hard, but life's alright Cause I'm here with you tonight And that's alright, that's alright And there's more to life, more than what you see But if it's true that life's a dream, I wanna keep dreaming Dreaming here with you I'm alright, I'm alright And maybe so are you Yeah I'm alright, I'm alright And maybe so are you Maybe so are you Maybe so are you Maybe so are you Maybe so are you Maybe so are you Maybe so are you Maybe so are you Maybe so are you Maybe
That song really is a work of art, dude. One of your masterpieces.

I am.
Me
Me too
dammit. I wanted them to meet on the bridge.
I will go through this life
And never know who I am or why I'm here
Or what I'm doing, or what I'm doing
But that's okay, its what we do
Everyday, everywhere, all around the world
Uh-huh
I know my name
Take the word of everything I've ever learned
Like my father and my father's father
It's the way we've always done it
And the way we always will
Uh-huh
Making it up, making it all up
I mean, what else can we do?
Making it up, making it all up
That's the only way to get through
Cause life is hard, but life's alright
Cause I'm here with you tonight
Mmhmm, yeah yeah
And Jesus gonna welcome me into heaven
When I get there
The day that I die
I can say for sure that I'll be able
As well as I am able to look him in the eye
And say "hey, well I did what I could with what I was given"
But surely it isn't much, it's just made to do this living and I lived it up
And I've been forgiving myself ever since
Making it up, making it all up
I mean, what else can we do?
Just making it up, making it all up
Now I know this shit ain't cool
Cause life is hard, but life's alright
Cause I'm here with you tonight
And that's alright, that's alright
And there's more to life, more than what you see
But if it's true that life's a dream, I wanna keep dreaming
Dreaming here with you
I'm alright, I'm alright
And maybe so are you
Yeah I'm alright, I'm alright
And maybe so are you
Maybe so are you
Maybe so are you
Maybe so are you
Maybe so are you
Maybe so are you
Maybe so are you
Maybe so are you
Maybe so are you
Maybe
