With those sliders of course it will be fast. Try it without the sliders and I'll bet you can't get to 1:31 pace. Those sliders effectively keep the strokes stationary and move the machine. Keep the machine stationary and then we can see your real pace.

Sliders have a separate category for American and World Records within the Concept2 website. While your technical statement on sliders is true, it doesn’t diminish the fact she accomplished what no other American has ever done in her age category. Some athletes aren’t as good on sliders. Sliders also mimic on water rowing as well as proper technique more so than static rowing.
I see a World Record coming in the next attempt 💪. Great job!
