I'm hearing a lot about 3d coat recently, hand painting looks nice too but i'm not sure if i want to learn it or not. I'm already learning lots of different things, so adding this one can be too much.
Very nice software, but I find 3D Coat described only as a sculpting program like zBrush. Is that the same one you use here? I was now expecting something like Substance as a texturing program.
Its probably late to answer for you but if anybody has same question; You are importing base mesh to substance painter then importing high res sculpted one to bake section and bake it.

No! It can do a lot of stuff, sculpting, modelling, retopo, Uvs, bakes and textures. It's pretty much a complete package
