If you were perfect, people would quickly make that an insult. Nobody is immune from the insults of assholes.
We've all said and thought worse things of ourselves than anybody could even think to throw at us. It's not the insults that bother you, it's the fact that others are so sad that they want to hurt you too. This is a projection and should be treated as such.
People will always be curious of difference. This is an opportunity, not a hindrance. Most people are true deep down, and if they only had the courage to express it, you would be in no doubt as to just how strong and inspiring you are.
