Brings back good memories of my father in law and his brother we used to fish on withensea beach 30yrs ago did a few competitions and the off to the club I enjoyed your video very much thankyou
Well done on braving the elements in what looked like testing conditions. It's a good stretch of productive ground along there mate, flounder, bass and codling to lug and rag worm baits generally. A set of chest waders would be good, I've found putting a bait just at the back of the last breaker into deeper water pays dividends. However, where you where at first looked very good for a bass or flounder in the surf. A good watch as always tight lines and keep at it, it fishes well along there in Spring.
My personal favourite time to fish there is 2 hours before high tide nd a hour after casting about 30 yards out don't need to be far out down there I find rag worm works best
@@GillysFishing-2023 all the bass av had down there have been between the end of the prom nd the rocks mostly at the top of the ramp all about 30 yard out on rag
Good to see you on the beach at last 👍 The sea looked perfect for bass. Next time try fishing ragworm and you'll be in with a good chance of a bass, flounder or dab. Beach fishing is so much better than the piers. Last Saturday I was just north of where you fished and had bass and founder. 🙂
Keep at it mate ya soon get used to the rod, that was old Billy on blue bike who ya said caught a cod, he is a lovely man I hope I'm still fishing when I'm his age cos he is getting on a bit he is older than he looks lol
