- New York police are investigating after a video appears to show a New York City Police Department truck plowing through a crowd during a George Floyd protest in Brooklyn.
The 27-second video, which was posted to Twitter, shows an NYPD truck in front of a crowd throwing objects at the vehicle. There is a barricade in front of the truck. The truck then appears to drive into the barricade, knocking over protestors. Screaming and yelling are then heard while a person is seen jumping on top of the truck. It's unclear if there were any injuries.
CNN has reached out to the NYPD, New York governor and Attorney General's office for comment. Earlier, Gov. Andrew Cuomo said he ordered the state attorney general to independently review the events of Friday's protests that included protesters clashing with police in Brooklyn and other boroughs.

I'd probably suggest that too, but I also don't know of any footage that showed what the situation was like behind them. They might have been in a situation where they were totally fucked from all sides, which I understand, because police have been attacked relentlessly these last couple days. It would be easy to let fear take over and do things they normally wouldn't do to escape a potentially life-threatening situation. I still think they should have chilled the fuck out for a minute to explore other options. Avoid injuring people unless they literally had no other choice for the sake of preserving their lives. What officials are saying is true. This shouldn't have happened. Hopefully everyone is ok.

However, if I were in that situation I’m not sure whether or not I could be able to properly identify all the objects that were being thrown at me when there are so many. We’ve all seen videos of police vehicles on fire. I would probably be really scared that maybe one of those bottles could contain something flammable.
