You know it doesn’t matter how many times I see an American aircraft carrier I’m always extremely impressed by what goes into building and operating one. From the cleaning of said vessel to using it’s various tools of war to rescuing souls who are in great need of help and protection of the vessel, and I’ve been told that without exception that when one part of the departments goes titsup they all feel it. Thank you to all who’ve served and continue to serve you have my eternal gratitude, from north east Scotland i thank all of you.
Born poor. My mother always said if you’re hungry, learn to cook. She served the president of the United States before she passed away.
Never underestimate how good , healthy food fills bellies and hearts. Minds. And builds morale.
Eat at the table with your family. Take the time to enjoy a hot meal with the ones you love. Nothing better than that ❤ born poor. I am rich
I'm sorry for you loss, but she was wise & sounds like a strong & amazing. :)
Food is # 1 to keep your workers/soldiers happy.
Watch out your backyard, as Chinese is secretly building a new China in the land of America, joint by other Assian ethnics groups.
The galley crew is the most valuable element on the ship.
For ever AMERICA🇺🇸
The one thing I always enjoy about these Peace-Time videos of the US Navy is, the knowledge of War-Time realities. All this cooking stuff will disappear in one week when things change. There is NO room on a wartime vessel for a Starbucks
2:16 Feel so good, the best moment of time onboard a US warship in a day, every sailor in US Navy is fed well and have plenty to eat. It is so yummy. 🤤🤤
That kind of food make you want to forget about being on a aircraft carrier. 😊

The US military logistics is amazing
Ah,,was Du nicht sagst 😂😂😂Deswegen hat die vereinigte Staaten, seit 1945 -kein einzige Krieg gewonnen. 😂😂😂😂
Very interesting!
Iran takes the second tanker.Iran seized the vessel Niovi, which was in transit from the Persian Gulf to the United Arab Emirates. Next, this tanker was supposed to move to the States, but the Persians had completely different plans.. And again, the scheme is worked out - the tanker is refueled, paid for and only then arrested. And the most interesting thing is that neither Muhammad bin Zayed al-Nahyan, the head of the UAE,, nor their state publication said a word about Iran's behavior. Well, they took it and took it away, as if it was intended that way. This is confirmation that Iran's actions are clearly coordinated with the Russians, with the Arabs, and with the Chinese. The support is total. And even 60 military bases and 50,000 Americans did not confuse Tehran..The Fifth US Navy remained to observe what was happening from afar,, after a "nice conversation with the Persians." The confused US military begins timid radio negotiations with the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps in order for the tanker to be released, the Americans were sent to milk the bulls.%

Thank you
I have no problem with it! These service people should have the best food and meals that there is. They are serving the country. Whatever they want, within reason, they should have. Happy eating, service men and women. Peace.
The food looking so neatly and clean very lovely 😂😅
Now I’m hungry 🤤

It is good that they always eat healthy food and should eat very less with junk food and drink very less soda.
Fit and healthy .... show reel of burgers , bacon and fried eggs lol
Damn, I should have joined the navy!!! But since I didn’t, I’m going to go out to sea, this weekend, track down an aircraft carrier, doing a pirate thing, commandeering that kitchen! 🤣
Lot better than a ration of salt pork and hardtack like 200 years ago
That's so great ❤

The Sailor who put his empty basket back in the rack really triggered my OCD
The navy would be my forces of choice, the food alone is extremely attractive, the freedom and isolation of the sea, the travel. AC carriers are absolutely huge , it would be awesome to serve on one
If you do join, I would recommend a smaller navy ship like a Destroyer (DDG). Better port visits and better relationships with everyone aboard. Well, better or worse haha. You get to know everyone on a DDG, I dont think that is the case on an aircraft carrier.
@@erichighsmith7299 true..i served on a LSD...we were always in port on deployment lol
Just so you know, I've heard a lot of people complain that most of the crew literally never get to see the sea or sunlight for weeks at a time.
@@SamBrickell thats only if you go into the nuc program and live on a submarine.
It's not a Tiny kitchen. It's the forward, aft, CPO, Ward room, Captains galley and the Admirals mess. Plus a galley under the flight deck for flight crew.
It is a logistical wonder, though. Amazing. At every stop, I would have MIT-trained ME and MSEE + software check everything and run tests. Prevents problems. Software may not work, and the engines may have a problem. Or about to have a problem. Plumbing fixtures, desal plants, and so much more. Once they clear it the Navy can get a report and learn what problems were found. Engines, pumps, weapons alignment, and much more need to be checked. It would take six months, but then you know you are ready, and the Captain gets the report and issues training orders. Every time they will find 1000 problems that need to be repaired, tested, and documented It would be better if every carrier of ship could spend 1-2 years in port. That;'s how long it takes to check and test everything. Then you have reliability when out at sea. Even unreliable cooking great that can be a problem.
Give em everything they need and want, they're worth it.
All you have to understand is there galleys for officers fwd and aft, galleys for the e1 to e6 crew on 2nd deck fwd and aft, 1 galley midship on 2nd deck for the chiefs (e7 to e9), a small pantry for the Captain on the o3 level and a small pantry for the admiral in charge of the battle group on the o3 level near the captains pantry. The total number of meals daily while underway is more than 20k.
I served onboard the USS Carl Vinson CVN-70 before they ever had Starbucks coffee 😢. Whatever... .. I'm over it!!!
MS-1. SORRY, MYKEYBOURD STUCK KEYS. MS-1 WAS MY COMPANY COMMANDER AT GREAT LAKES, IL., BOOTCAMP. GREAT LEADERSHIP, THIS GUY HAD EYE'S IN THE BACK OF HIS HEAD. HE TOOK A SWING AT ME ONE TIME, I FUCKED UP AND MISSED A DENTAL APPOINTMENT, I DID NOT FLINCH. HEARTRATE NORMAL. HE STARED AT ME FOR 55 SECONDS, "I TRAINED YOU".
Tiny kitchen? On Naval ships it is called a galley, and a carrier has several! They operate 24 hours a day.
They are much bigger than that - only submarines have small galleys - that also features shore side galley’s…
If you think an aircraft carrier galley is small you need to see a WW2 Gearing class destroyer galley. The mess deck was not even on the same level, one level below. Moving 8" full gunboats (hotel pans) down a ladder to the serving line was an adventure in heavy seas.
@@cheftomsd I served on a 542 class LST. The galley was on the main deck level, as well as the serving line, mess decks one level down. In even mild seas getting down the ladder with a 12" X 18" tray, ( approximate dimensions), was a chore. We once had 110 Korean Rocs on board to land near Chu Lai, Viet Nam. We got into some south seas rolling weather and the deck below the ladder had more food and puke than the garbage can. We landed them and as bad as Korean Rocs were supposed to be, 75% were casualties by dark. Those poor fellows didn't even have a chance.
I remember going on an old destroyer from the mothball fleet and yes, every where was small. I was also on FF's for 5 years. Much roomier than the previous DDs from WW2.
I never said a carrier galley was small. One could get lost in one on the new carriers.
Did you ever see the galley on a fast attack sub? Now that is tiny.
@@seniorrider9337 I served on DDG 14 during Vietnam and it had a nice galley. The serving line opened up on the side to the mess deck.
Didn't realize how good I had it till had to cook on a Gearing DD for Reserves.
@@seniorrider9337
I've worked in galley kitchens in delis.
Thank goodness they didn't move ! 😘
They sell cigarettes in the ship's store - does that mean sailors can smoke on the ship?
I'll be damned... they still sell cigs. I imagine there's a couple designated smoking areas.
Yes, they can when the smoking lamp is it. Each sailor gets a ration of one carton a month. There are cigars ad other items.
It's not just pilots and officers, also enlisted men an women.
Stop Lying!!! There are 4 Galleys on that Aircraft carrier, and they are not TINY!!!
Maybe you shouldn’t talk about healthy meals while showing them cooking a bacon cheeseburger. Just a suggestion. 😁
They do not all eat at once and they do not all sleep at once they share Bunks that means they share everything nothing is done all at once.
I've been Fluctised again, at least 50% of this is recycled footage. Shame on you.
I will say it is a little tough to get on military bases and ships
Anyway to make a buck….silly humans

I find it funny, some might have want to improve their life by joining the Navy. They may have wanted something different, something more adventurous than the mundane options they had at home.
To their great chagrin however, after all the training they had to go through, and the post they were given was as a cashier at a variety store, or possibly working in the coffee shop. Personally, I’d be pissed if I were them. Lol
Hey, at least they'd be getting skills they can use once they get out... unlike many of us 🤣
When I was in the Navy, we used to have a saying: "Choose yer Rate, choose your fate..."
Hi
Hi...🙂
And how are you. 🙂

Heroism does not come with food.. Military service is a matter of the heart.. The only hearted nation in the world is the Turks.. The only army that does not steal from anyone and does not do injustice is the Turkish army.

love your videos, pleae dont stop.

It was interesting watching the section on the oil rigs, as my father used to work as an OIM on one. I’ve never seen this side of rig life.
Oh stop it... you'll make me want to re-enlist. NOT😝
Hi
13 billion dollar killing machine.
les poulets sont élevés à bord???? avec les amerloques tout est possible)
all food & drinks, its free or pay
No kitchens on a ship.
It is a galley, NOT a kitchen.
Top Gunners need top chow
look at basic crew reactions to presidential visits.
The tape is 11 months old…
He can have sleeve tats in the military?
$13 Billion seems a little overpriced.
I've seen articles about parts manufacturing companies selling ordinary bolts & parts for 3x normal price. 🤔
They sent execs to check their coffee on board taste like dish water to confirm it's in line with their brand of absolutely crap coffee with added expense...
crazy that most of the video does not show anything about cooking
Non credo che su una super portaerei il cui equipaggio è di 6000 persone ci sia una piccola cucina?
I was a Mess Specialist on CV66 many years ago....what a change.
2:17 this is not reg crew food this is most likely officer or chiefs mess
Yea abit out of point
Red kalamar saldırı oeşın curueasth
The navy doesnt provide toothpaste? WTF
Woooooooooooow? So its like tax payers? Only you have military personel buying snacks and make money for the military? Its like truck drivers? Work all week and barely make any money? 😢😢😢
먹는거에 아끼면 안돼..
바람직한 보습이다..
Thats look great. Buuuut why should the leve so mutch better than the soldiers in the field. They live with dry food. And there life are at stake every day. These luxus soldiers sleep in a cosy warm bed every nigh. The soldier in the field live in raign, snow ect. These soldiers are not soldiers, they are soldiers at vercation.
How do military personnel get 🤔 Starbucks money back
乱喊乱喊 不是才10亿
Nothing tiny about galleys on a carrier. The gullies are huge. Usually 3 galleys working 24/7. You need to do your research better.
GO BIG OR GO HOME !!
I hope that the Japanese soldiers are also fed enough food.
All the rice and fish heads they can eat...🥸🤣😂🤣
1:45 dont let them fool you there are a lot of overweight people in the navy, at least 40 %
Not in the Marines
@@stephengoldberg334 yes there are I just trained a guy that got out 2 months ago, he was fat. knew a guy that went in to the marines in shape. he got out fat.
In Ships Its The GALLEY not Kitchen ? ( ex R.N Chef }
There’s no way that grill man was preparing 2 sandwiches at a time for 5000 sailors
slow but steady
They work shifts.
So they don't all eat at the same time...👨🍳👩🍳🧑🍳

This is 50 bugers.
Imagine cooking 5000... 😋😜🤪😅
They're cooked to order. There are usually multiple kitchens on an aircraft carrier. Please keep up.
Looks good and obviously the dedication to quality and nutritional aspects have been taken into account but please don’t say five ⭐️
Wow, B-52 turkeys too? 🙄
Too much repetition!
sad thing is, that when one of the Capital ships is sunk, 5000 go to Davy Jones's locker
some sailors clean the toilets as their only role
