All Chevy Novas should be built like this. I had one once with a six banger that had almost enough power to be a starter motor for this beast! A triple WOW car for sure!!

My friend had one that he bought with a blown up 427 in it and put a 327 with a tunnel ram and roller cam in. I remember him stripping the Yenko decals off it because he didn't like them. It was the 70's and none of us knew anything about Yenko. I remember the serial was "42711" something because we inspected it at my uncles garage and thought that was a strange number for a Chevy. It sat in a shed for like 20 years until about 2000 and one day he told me he couldn't believe someone paid him $2,500 for that old Nova without an engine in it. Later on somebody educated him and he was pretty upset
If we never had Tasca Ford and Yenko Chevrolet, history would have been a lot different like boring. Gorgeous car and the addition of a ZL-1 is awesome.

I don’t know if you could have ordered it in a SS nova, but it was available .. Wait. Did he say that car did 8.90 quarter mile? That’s almost wheelie pro stock territory. Yet the sticker in the trunk says it has a limited slip rear end? Does 8 seconds... no parachute.....not ragging on it, still a rare beauty. hmmm skeptical. Hey Lou, wanna check out some rare chevys? Try to find some Baldwin motion chevelles, novas and Camaros, saw one at a car show a few years ago. Rarer than rocking horse poo

no power stearing?i could have used that stearning box ....now and when we were racing..the 69 was good for racing..lighter than newer novas unsprung weight
Novas are the homeliest of muscle cars ...in my opinion. They command respect but need a minimum 396 under the bonnet. A 427 would be fun. A 454 funner. As a head turner? Maybe, but not for the right reason. Sorry. I have a Jane. She aint plain.

Interesting Car. Since they upgraded many items, period correct, why not add a passenger side exterior mirror. It would be a shame to total this car doing a lane change, because of a $20 mirror. I have many vintage cars myself, unless it is a "survivor" I always add a passenger side mirror, as I drive mine, and don't just dust them.
8.90s?? Not fast enough, lol ...no really and Don Yenko called them lethal with just the 350 under the hood. With an all aluminum 427, I bet its down right deadly unless you know what u r doing....

Yenko actually built 38 1969 Nova's with the 427/450hp L72 engine.
I heard there were 27 built,and I own one up here in London Ontario Canada

Didn’t the 69 have a bezel between the reverse and tail light? Mine did, this did not which usually meant it was a 68 or 70 or am I wrong here or
