Desert of Maine's new owners rejuvenate and celebrate the historic property

The new owners of Freeport's tourist destination said they have invested a significant amount of money into upgrading the desert.

we visited this last year in october, and in the rain, we still enjoyed it, they have a nice campground.

I heard about this a while ago and I look it up on Google maps occasionally. It will be great to visit as it is such a oddity. Hopefully, one day in the future it turns into something else, and they let the trees take it all back.

I'll bet all that sand is tiny balls of glass from the moon, as part of my huge meteorite discovery.
