Thank you for uploading this, it's incredible to watch. I've played online since 1997, and just watching a GM back then was an event. Seeing one of the best in the world (arguably the best blitz player even) comment on his own moves with an eval bar is a level of chess expression I did not think possible.
I’ve always hoped a post-production eval bar could be included! It’s brave of Hikaru as it could potentially embarrass him, but of course it pretty much just agrees with his intuition and shows what a deep level of understanding he has of the game.
*The pattern recognition these top GMs have for lines is unbelievable.* Even if it just is repetition, I don't care. They can remember the day and time of the exact game they played one line in 5+ years ago and they play hundreds of games per day. Whatever % of the population they are in skill level, I guarantee you they're more right on the curve of pattern recognition. It's crazy to think the difference between even a 2800 and 3000 might just literally be base IQ.

Bit unnecessary to call the poster dense.. Likely also inaccurate. It is a good timestamp to demo how Hikaru always reads the game so well and talks through it. Particularly to newer viewers. I wish he could play the actual music like on stream on Kick or Twitch... Would that be possible if he switched to RUclips to stream and used RUclips Music rather than Spotify I wonder

we dont need the eval bar, we have @hikaru live comments as he plays the game. Eval and Engines are for post analysis to check a particular line or position, watching an event or actual game with engine lessens the human effort to go through the game.
So many moments like 12:05 and 12:21 where Hikaru just gets things exactly right. For as good as computers are, it’s still crazy how well-trained a chess master’s “evaluation function” is.

Kramnik: its impossible to add eval bar in post-prod , anyone claiming it can be done doesnt know anything about streaming or video editing. My friends mathematicians have prooven this is impossible for anyone to do.
