Not very hard at all. The noise you hear is more of a "thud" sound as the post snaps into the clip. We can make them sound super quiet if you just take your time snapping them together.
Can you stack them top and bottom sticks line up and the middle stick is offset. I like doing that so they don’t stick out as much walking through brush

What is the bungee on the steps of the sticks? Are they to quiet them down? If so, how did you do that? Thanks!
It's just paracord that I did a cobra weave on.

Oh man that was not easy. It was helpful for noise those. I did like a cobra weave thing, but tying off the ends were a work of art.
