Ah man, unbelievably deep Rich sound, I love the hummingbird sound and that has nothing on the hypnotically beautiful rolling tones of this incredible instrument. I'm in love.
A Smeck stage deluxe! So sweet! She's a fantastic example! Diggin the 2" neck. Sounds damn incredible for being over 80 years old.great tone and resonance! Nice demo
Your guitars always sound soo good! It doesn’t matter if they are electrics, acoustic, or amps! This is the only RUclips channel where I always watch your videos no matter what the content is! Keep up the great work.
There is more to be said of a "conversion" Smeck than is stated here, namely the fretboard has been replaced with a radiused rosewood, since the original before re-set and removal was a flat surface with painted fret lines. Remember these were played as laptstyle guitars, originally. Also, what makes these sound so good is the top spruce is also Adirondack spruce, which is a better top wood for acoustics. Lastly no mention is made that these guitars had no truss rod, hence no cover on the headstock. It looks like the binding has been replaced as it is so white and these models tend to be not as white after so long a time. The lacquer shine looks a little too nice on the top as these usually look very cloudy after nearly 80 years and without any shine. The tuners also look a little too new to my limited ability to judge from the clip, as these normally after so many years, show corrosion, even some rust, which is normal for this model. Mostly this is a restored piece to my eye, hence the price is sky high.
Sounds like it is tuned down 1/2 a step? And yes, when checking against my J-200 which is down to D#/Eb, it does appear to be 1/2 step down. Makes it nice and full, what? Easier on that old neck and bridge, too. And easier on the right hand, as well ... Great sound, super playing, Sir.

That IS a special guitar. When I played it I was amazed at the bright...open....bell tone for days
Roy was my guitar teacher in Manhattan in the early 1960's. He was a Harmony distributor at the time.
If you could only guarantee all Gibsons sounded that good. Wow!

Thank you for watching!
Wow sounds great...2inch at the nut is a little too much for me...and probably out of my price range...
That neck is very manly
What does something like that sell for?
Upper 100s they're rare now
I wish I had the money for it.....
