That's an Alpine Butterfly knot on the end of a rope instead of the middle. Took me a while to realize that. Also works well on monofilament fishing line, though it's helpful to have tweezers to pull the loop through.
I don't fully know what you said. 1,2,3. Move the bottom one inside. Then make the rabbit go through the rabbit hole. Thank you for showing me this knot! ;)
I will never tie a figure of eight on the bight again (unless I forget hot to do this! 😂 ). I will say "Ein, Zwei, Drei" and "put the rabbit in the hole" every time - I promise!

that's the first thing I said, "that's a f.....g BUTTERFLY"! LOL
@@bbhrdzaz Uh. Yeah.....
Said so in the title.
"Schmetterling" is German for "butterfly"
What do you mean, "at the end of the rope instead of the middle" ?? I don't see a rope end once in that video... it was in the middle. ??
I mean the middle of the rope. You don't must have access to the ends of the rope.
I thought the same “a Alp butterfly” I just do slightly differently
i,m pleased I found some English comments 👍
Very good info Danke
Einfach, genial. Vielen Dank aus Melbourne Australien. Großes LIKE und abonniert

Same as alpine butterfly? I often do use the alpine butterfly in this manner and also as a loop at the end of a rope

please tell me why 2nd option(from 1:16 76sec) isn't so good ?
Hi Vladimir. The second option will be hard/ impossible to open after use. Only with the first knot you are able to open the knot easyl.
@@einfachboot ok thanx !
@@einfachboot Good to know.

Is this knot easily untied after weight is applied to it ?
No problem! I use this knot by myself and it was everytime possible to untie.
