    I just bought the M1 mac mini. Should reach me in a week. I'm very excited because I've been using a mid-2010 iMac. Will be primarily using it for audio production and very basic premier pro editing.

      why do mac users keep their computers 10 and 12 years? the increases in speed and features I've had on a self built win10 computer in that time is insane.

    Getting mine tomorrow. Love the form factor (1tb, 16GB). Updating from a cheese-grader 4.1.

    Good review. I replaced my 2015 MacBook Pro 13 with the Mini 16 GB 1TB and really happy with it, the difference in performance is huge especially Photoshop. I picked this over the M1 13 MacBooks because it can support the two external 4K monitors I already had on my desk.

    Yeaahh!! I'm glad I bought the mac mini even though it's just the 256gb, external hard drives solved the "problem" :> from a 2015 Macbook Pro Retina too!

    Very helpful review. I’m now convinced that this will be enough for my needs, since I’m only a part-time RUclipsr as of the moment. However, I’m still a bit undecided about moving up to 512 because of the high mark-up from the 256 G variant.

      256gb will be fine. It’s just sitting on the desktop so you can just hook up external drive. But for macbook might be a bit different due to the portability and the ports.

    just the video i was looking for...been using my 2015 macbook pro as well. Which in my opinion is the best macbook before they started removing all of the ports especially the sd card slot and magsafe. i guess, i'll try to save for a mac mini now. :) thanks dude! ingat!

    • @ark.curate

      I agree with you! The 2015 MBPR is still the best in terms of customization and modification. Good thing they brought back the Magsafe in the newer models, plus added more ports. Looking forward to your upgrade! Ingat din. :D

    I bought a refurb m1 mini and it's been the best money I've ever spent. I've been using a quad i7 macbook pro 2012 forever and it finally needed to be put out of it's misery.

    Good move my friend, better late than never. I do regret a little getting the minimum storage thinking my collection of portable SSDs will take care of my storage needs. None of them have been able to match the Mini’s internal drive simply because the USB-C port is not the dual channel Thunderbolt that’s required for full speed performance. Looking at the Studio now

    • @ark.curate
      @ark.curate  2 года назад

      Yeah I think it's always a great move to opt for a bigger storage.

  • @paulharrison8379

    My biggest mistake that I have made with every PC or phone that I have ever bought was to buy too little mass storage. I am therefore pleased that you have bought a 512 Gb M1 Mac Mini. An interesting thing that people have observed about the Mac Studio is that the 2 and 4 Tb SSDs are faster than the 512 Gb and 1 Tb SSDs and so anyone who can afford a Mac Studio should definitely opt for a 2 Tb SSD.

    • @ark.curate
      @ark.curate  2 года назад

      I agree! Opting to get more SSD space is the way to go especially if you're a creator.

    Currently using a 2015 15" MBP as a desk top setup (connected to peripherals), and thinking of upgrading to the M1 Mac Mini simply because the latest macOS (Ventura) doesn't support my 2015 MBP. Ugh, not ready to upgrade, but I have to because of cyber security.

      Glad it was helpful! If you’d like to have it checked, any official service center near you is a great start. However, if you’re on a budget, you can go to Greenhills or any kiosk that have computer repairmen who knows about macbooks.
