Danny, John really loved you and your channel. Thank you for having such a big, caring heart and doing this for John. I’ll never forget this. You are helping us remember his best memories in such special ways. Right before I watched, I wondered if I was going to cry. I felt John say to me that you were going to make me laugh, and you sure did. Btw, I ALSO FORGOT TO BRING JOHN’S UNDERWEAR but I brought everything else just like you did! Please let me know how I can send you money for the meal. I’m so grateful to you. Take great care and have fun in Vegas!! ❤🙏🏻
You are very welcome. I am happy that you laughed. I dont think we forgot the underwear, rather we are just smart enough to know there isn't any need for underwear! Thank you but please do not send anything, It is never necessary, you watching and enjoying is plenty!
You comforted the lady holding her hands as she passed. That certainly means you are a good man I'm also sorry for the loss of your father. It's hard to lose a parent RIP John NG. We all share your love of DTM and hope that someday we all can have dinner with him
My sympathies to his family and loved ones! I don't eat oysters so Idk if slimy shell ones are safe or not lol, but u made me laugh with the YOLO haha. And thank u for sharing the stories.
Yes, tap water. RIP John Ng 🙏. DTM you’re a good man, passion is part of profession. I am in the medical profession, but choose not to be an MD. Sorry about your father’s passing. I like the Blue Point oyster 🦪, but those look very delicious. I would eat the slimy ones ,but with cracklers. Great to try out various seafood dishes. Be adventurous. Thanks for the Friday review 👍
You are a class act. May John Ng's memory be a blessing. As for the food, oysters are one of my very favorites but those did not look appealing. Was surprised you gave them an 8.5 considering you didn't seemed thrilled with the slime factor. Oyster should always be served on ice. The reason your lobster tail was curled like a snail was it was overcooked. The screaming kid was enough to put me off going anywhere near the South Point.
RIP John Ng. Good stories Danny. We have eaten oysters there many times during the happy hour. Never lifted the shell so no slime for us. We will be there eating a dozen Wednesday along with a lunch special. Cheers,
RIP John Ng and condolences to his family and loved ones. I bet John is laughing his butt off saying "I got DTM to pay extra". That was so nice of you DTM. You're a cool medic, but above all you're a good human with a heart of gold. God Bless!
That was nice of you to dedicate this video to John Ng. My condolences to the Ng family. Big Sur is a very picturesque stretch of the California coast between Carmel and San Simeon. I don't think there are any oyster farms in that area. Thanks for the stories. Even though I had some training, I don't think being an EMT was for me. Never heard the story of your dad. I would love to hear more!
Tap water, coding, and hope for good oysters! Danny, the menu clearly described your seafood dish as being in a spicy tomato sauce. Nice dedication to one of your viewers!
Big Sur is a location between L.A. and San Fran. Famous for the beautiful coastal drive a tourist trap called Hearst Castle. Cambria is nearby and we lived in since 1990. We now retired living in Vegas near South Point. My condolences to the family.
Hard to pass up the buffet or the coffee shop when I visit South Point. Never did try the oyster bar since I don’t care for oysters. Thanks for living vicariously thru you.
You Sir, are a class act for dedicating this video to the memory of John Ng. It was interesting with you sharing some of your life experiences. Since the food arrived and you did not finish the story were you able to ascertain whether the funeral director kept hos promise about properly dressing your father? May I also wish eternal peace to John Ng.
Hey Danny, I am here in Vegas for over a week from NYC. I was near SouthPoint Casino probably on the day you were filming. I hope I bump into you on this trip.
On Netflix, on the show Somebody Feed Phil, he did an episode from Scotland. He ate oysters that had scotch whisky added to them. Phil seemed to enjoy them.
Thanks MUCH for sharing and paying RESPECTS to Mr Ng! May he rest in peace, and condolences to his family! Ironic as I met old Neighbour at Gas Pump this morning, and another former Neighbour had passed a bit ago from Throat Cancer :( All the BEST and stay well! !
DTM you area good man, also hysterical! YOLO, or your faces when eating the oysters, or I’m going to eat it because this sucker costs money, you are really funny!
i love your kindness... and many blessings for the family... but you doing this and just appreciating someone whether you knew them or not.. you are pretty fantastic danny... #sacrifice... #freedom isnt free.. and i subscribed because of this kindness
Hail the Traveler!! FYI: You ate a few of the slimy ones before you noticed the slime. I hope you didn't get sick. Would you even update us with that if you did (get sick)? LOL Thanks Danny!
Danny boy!!--they have lunch specials till 4pm!!--half price oysters and clams--plus 5-6 other dishes between 10-15 dollars!!!--Your cheap you should have investigated this factoid!!!!--lol----Your the best kid!!!
Nice tribute video to Mr. Ng. Thank you for allowing him to join you in spirit Danny. Don't you like lobster yee mein Danny? The Oyster bar at Palace Station and Durango are clones of the Oyster Bar in Grand Central Terminal. I assume you have been to the one in NYC so hopefully you can do a comparison between the original and the Vegas clones. The Pan Roast is the dish that made put the original on the map of must eat spots in NYC.
I do not like lobster yee mein.. due to the possibility of shell fragments in the mein, but I have never heard of GCT oyster bar, never been there... how odd.. clones you say? I may have to check it out.
yes Danny they are supposed to be the same outfit but never tried the Vegas ones because there is always a line. Durango location had about 6 in queue 2 weeks ago at 5:30pm on a Wednesday night. They are open 24 hours so I think if you went late at night no problem with waiting. BTW Big Sur is a beautiful coastal city below Monterey / Carmel on the calif coast
The Pan Roast at the Palace Station and Durango are also cheaper Danny. Starting as low as $26 for shrimp and $31 for shrimp, crab and lobster @@dannythemedic
DtM, you need to come up with a satisfying sound when eating complimentary bread, like you do when you take a sip of delicious tap water. Think about it! Would not have eaten the slimy oysters. I think you pronounce it Dee-ah-vo-lo. Happy you did this video.
i was just typing what about the underwear!!!!!!! that diavolo looked delicious. my personal preference for seafood....YUM. at Michaels at south point, best escargot ever!!!!!
I wouldn't YOLO oysters, can't afford to get sick from bad shellfish. But I do trust my nose 👃 and if it smells fresh I will eat it. Thank you for the entertainment
Danny: Do you eat all of your meals out? Because ‘Danny the Medic likes to be cheap’, and some of the places you go to seem quite pricey. I rarely go to buffets because I tend to over-eat.
I'd return everything. We get oyster from the oyster farms we hold them for a week in the fridge and they never get like that. They were bad I don't know how they don smell profusely
I went long ago, the line was down the casino and I think that is why people believe the place is SO GOOD.. but I think the real reason the line exist is simply because it is very small seating, and the lineup just builds hype. I remember the food being "good" but not an hour+ worth of standing good.
@@dannythemedic we go midweek for breakfast. No line at 9am. I think it's better than what I was seeing here at Big Sur. Also, Palace Station has a Panda Express now.
I live in Cincy OH and some nice paces have West coast and E coast, I much prefer East but it's closer W coast allway taste brine to me thought it might be the distance Assume your are W coast since closer.
Dude, luckily I didn't have to worry about my dad's underwear.... the funeral home did ask me if I wanted a ring on my dad and I said no but I wish i did get that ring....
As I suspected because very similar to Spanish, diavolo is Italian for 'devil' and perhaps should be pronounced more similar to Spanish. Someone mentioned below that sauce is usually spicy, which would make sense, but maybe yours was not so.

Much luv to Danny for risking his life for the channel!!
How nice of you to do this for your viewer. Prayers go out to the friends and family of the young man.

I am really lucky that my Dad prepaid for his cremation. He wanted something simple. And when I got him back he was in a cardboard box .

the bowling alley popcorn?

Dear old dad going commando into the afterlife.

DTM i love your videos. You are a breath of fresh air.
I've never seen gooey oysters. Even with my hepatitis shots, I wouldn't eat that. 🏆
We go once a month and get the oyster Rockefeller. For over 18 years we go and get Seafood Diavblo - 6 level.
You are right Danny, death does come to us all. I spent 9 years as a Homicide Detective.
thats so interesting, do you have a crime story channel?
Get the Malpeque oysters from Princ3 Edward Island,Canada........They are by far the best......You will not regret ....Donaldo
R.I.P. Mr. Ng...would of sent those slimy oysters back 😤😤😤
Hugs to John’s family ❤

historically no. but in the future, I think it will be mostly so. why? the answer will be in the upcoming video of my vegas apartment
Oysters have that goo! At least in LA, they do.
Are the oysters fresh? If they’re not fresh, you might get food poisoning by eating spoiled oysters. 😮
My condolences
RIP Mr.Ng.. LOL I love the clift hanger ending of the underware story.

Danny you were right it is pronounced deeavolo it means devil hot and spicy 😍
God bless you 🙏
Big Sur is located along the coast of California.
The first oyster you ate had slimy stuff on it too. You didn’t see it because it was on the camera side.
As I suspected because very similar to Spanish, diavolo is Italian for 'devil' and perhaps should be pronounced more similar to Spanish. Someone mentioned below that sauce is usually spicy, which would make sense, but maybe yours was not so.
It's a seafood pasta. It's supposed to have a variety of seafood mixed in. 😊
The very first one you ate had the slime but you didn't notice it. ICK. Karla in Cali.
I was not expecting slime! LOL
For 42 dollars, that pasta should be perfectly done and they should offer different sauces that can accompany the seafood.
Danny the Medic your okay.
Diavolo sauce is always tomato-based.
