I really want to say this, cus I really don't know or have I seen a perfect marriage life in my life, I didn't have one as I was growing up and it's really affecting me with the issues of trust, have not had any good relationship cus I think you can only see a perfect relationship like this is a novel or movie. I had to pray to God and told him I want a perfect relationship like ling and lam, cus you guys are my inspiration and believe that there's a perfect relationship out there . God bless you both.
Perfect relationships don't exist. People should see relationships as work in progress. The cup should always be half full There is a narrative that people should be happy always in a relationship. WRONG. It's a lot of bitterness, acrimony but also joy and happiness.. I've made it a point of informing the young and married couples in my church that the reality of marriage starts after the music is off. When they ask and I tel them that my wife amd I were not on talking terms when we left home to church, they get horrified at that. They say but uncle we saw you talking with her earlier? Yes. It's our own business as qe don't need anyone to solve our own problems. I continue to tell them we will patch up in the evening but I know we will fight again maybe on Wednesday or Friday. We have been at it for 24 years. Our children don't see us fighting and we don't show people and don't invite people into our business to solve our marital issues. We know that we have to continue working towards a better Co existence as we are not perfect. Indeed the foundation of our marriage was strong. We knew each other when I was a pimpled lanky student doing menial jobs My wife was doing some secretarial jobs but she liked me which I didn't understand. I was not the best guy to pick. Long story short, she was around through my many years of studies to today where I command two powerful professions and gained some weight with a comparatively smoother face. She stayed back to look after the children when I pursued very high levels of academic and professional qualifications and experience. Today, she is enjoying the fruits and I very comfortable with me and herself. We all invested in this journey for years so we know we are stuck together. Even after all these years of marriage, we still see it as WORK IN PROGRESS.
