We were asked to share a piece of art that represents trauma or a psychological disorder in my Psychology class so I showed them this video. (Panic attacks are a symptom of panic disorder so it's a great excuse to introduce them to Dream Theater. I also think this song explains panic attacks better than anything else I've seen!)
I suffered from 3 every night. Then again I stopped taking my clonozapam (gen. klonopin); people need to realize drugs makes all disorders worse by taking away the symptom and NOT letting the body heal itself. It took 2 horrifying months, but my brain reset itself and adjusted to know that i was never in danger. Haven't had a panic attack since 2008. If i stayed o the anxiety meds I'd probably have gotten worse.
D4rknb3h0ld3r I know mate, im on mirtazapine and xanax because of sleep disorder and severe anxiety, its a living hell.... Talking to a shrink and she said its because I see all the bad things in the world eg : child abuse and animal cruelty and theres nothing I can do to save the world from this nonsense. ITs a vicious cycle.. anyway, all the best with it dude, I wish you well :)
+Courtney P. Newlon Demons from hell. it is a Spiritual thing. and a false identity that hell tries to make the person believe is them. and Christ was the Healer for Me. Once I understood Christ and He goes Before me to Give me a Future and Hope. not only did he remove this lie from hell, but it does not even come around here anymore. I have a blessed Hope that says I will be okay NO matter what happens in this world. so now there is nothing to be worrying about. Philippians 4:6-7
this song actually gives me panic attacks. So I stopped listening to it. reminds me of my childhood. It sounds like the singer had a bad childhood too.
It is so sad but it helps a lot to know that someone made a song which describes this states, they are like prison expecially when you do not have how to escape from home or now where to go and you have to hold on. The worse thing is that you can not think clearly But thank you dream theater for wiring how it feels I think that no one with panic attack can clearly describe how it feels or the exact causes, which are in my case just long time of sorrow without possibility to use my mind to react and make things better.

this song actually explains a panic attack better than anyhing else iv ever heard
To stop panic disorders entirely, you need to understand what cause it, strategies to avoid it as well as what worsen it.

There's a lot more to it than that.

This sounds so cinematic.
That Background Sure Gives Me a Panic Attack
Estoy paralizado
Tan miedo a morir
[Verso 2]
[Puente]
Histeria indefensa
Una falsa sensación de urgencia
Atrapado en mi fobia
Poseído por la ansiedad
Corre, intenta esconderte
Abrumado por este complejo delirio
[Rotura instrumental]
[Teclado Solo]
[Solo de guitarra]
[Puente]
Histeria indefensa
Una falsa sensación de urgencia
Atrapado en mi fobia
Poseído por la ansiedad
Corre, intenta esconderte
Abrumado por este complejo delirio
