Baat ye hai.. when you study 10 hours, you know by a safety margin that around 8-9 hours was effective ( 80-90% ) but when you push urself to 18, you will barely be studying 12-13 hours ( 67% ) simply loss of efficiency, time and burn outs

Assuming he did study 18 hours out of 24 hours. The timetable we get only consists of 6 hours of free time and assuming that he used to sleep that time. He’d still have to do humanitarian tasks like all of us unless he was a super human or something but the whole point of this comment is that once people get successfully they tend to exaggerate stuff i mean i fully comprehend what he’s trying to say and i think he worked hard for it but the whole point of studying is getting the concept not counting hours. If you get a concept in 30 minutes its better than reminiscing on it for about 2 hours. I have accomplished studying for 12 hours a day and trust me it takes its toll. And no way you can pull that off daily but striving for it is the best ideal thing one can do. Sorry for the unsolicited opinion but had to let it out.
I don't think you get what i was trying to propose here was that nowadays people don't want to study effectively but wanna study ineffectively for long hours but i understand what you’re trying to say also about the sleep part a new article i read the other day said some people have a mutation in the genes and that makes rest of 4 hours sufficient for them. However that’s for 1 in 40 people of the population also when you study without your brain working at its optimal capacity then its more or less meaningless.
It's just only depends on individual how he is , but the most imp thing is the Constitiency and concept clarity if it is in u then hours doesn't matter 10 hours or 18 hours, just how much focused u r in that hours, that will lead ur result positive for any exams.

But sometimes completing the syllabus in a given period of time and then doing enough revision requires u to work that hard, and during the entire ca journey people do slog for 10-15 hours daily and during the exam time the number of hours eventually get increased.
