6ft5, 200lbs size 12 boot, ride all mountain amd some bigger alpine lines, wondering if the 164 would be okay, ive had a 164 and it wasnt up to my chin at all and i nosed in a lot on landings in pow, but that was many years ago and tech has come a long way
A lot has changed and I'd need to know the year/make/model to understand better why it didn't work. The 164 nexus will work but not sure that's the best choice for a guy of your specs. I'd pass on this board and look for something wider and possibly longer if it's a similar width. Or If you want to get into it more hit me here to give me the info I need to help you much better. shop.thegoodride.com/merchandise/gear-advice/
Hi, I really like your reviews! I’m looking for a new daily driver. But I can’t decide between the Nexus, Korua Otto and Vimana the continental directional. I think you did not ride the Vimana yet, right? But between the Otto and the Nexus, which one do you personally prefer?
Thanks! I dont' know anything about you so it would be hard to suggest a board. I haven't ridden Vimana so can't comment there. Both the Otto and Nexus are great boards. It is not about me. It comes down to your personal preference. The Nexus is softer and more catchy. The Otto is stiffer but has less camber so it's more forigiving. One is slightly tapered and one is not. Season nexus or Amplid Souly Grail ? - should be all day board for pow and grooms - no tricks no jumps etc. - my weight 90kgs /200lb - hight 173cm / 68inch
Sorry didn't see this. So this is a bad place for advice. If you want to do this right hit me here to give me the info I need to help you much better. shop.thegoodride.com/merchandise/gear-advice/ If you want a short answer, I would go 157 Souly Grail if you like a a little stiffer but mostly damper board with solid pop for all conditions. I would go 155 or 158 Nexus if you want a softer but a little more poppy but more technical ride that sets a little further back in powder.
Don't know anything about you so hard to say. Both have strengths and weaknesses. Otto is more forgiving and doesn't have taper. Nexus has a softer flex with more pop but is softer. Really comes down to personal preference. If you want real advice hit me up here. shop.thegoodride.com/merchandise/gear-advice/
@@thegoodridesnow more specifically I guess which is the better carver and which has more speed, if near identical in those categories I’d prly lean towards nexus overall
Otto is faster/stiffer/damper. Nexus is a little better for ollies and has a little more spring out of the turn but it's not clearly ahead of the Otto. Just a little better.
Two very good boards with a similar flex but not sure what would work better for you. If you want pretty much full camber go Nexus. If you want set back inserts and more directional set back float in powder go Cadet. Hit me up here if you want to get into more detail. shop.thegoodride.com/merchandise/gear-advice/
