    The elected officials who approved this project need to be recalled and the project cancelled immediately. It will be a total failure like the I 10 expansion and the rebuilt 610/59 Galleria interchange. Billions spent yet traffic is at a standstill most hours of the daytime.

      @@univisiontech1 Build commuter rail lines at a fraction of the cost, disruption, and time. Instead, METRO builds light rail on streets where bus service has existed for 60+ years. The light rail CAUSES traffic problems when the gates drop and cars back up for traffic lights to cycle 3-4 times before passing an intersection.

    This is sad for me. This is my favorite restaurant to pick up food. I've been going there for years. You won't find better Singapore Noodles or Shrimp Fried rice anywhere else in Houston.

      Univisiontech few people use public transportation relative to driving BECAUSE we’ve made it less convenient due to car companies lobbying. If public transport got funding to be better then more people would use it.

      Corruption like always in Houston.
      I wish companies could be forced to employ people from the area.
      Why do people from the north have to cross town to work and spend hours in the traffic?
      And viceversa with people on the south crossing to the other side of Woodlands, Kingwood, Conroe etc. It doesn't make sense.
      Somebody has to propose to companies to hire people in the same area!
      That way we could be making our life easier.
      Getting home faster, less cars on the freeway, less road rages, less gas spend, less tire wear, less miles on our cars. Hello!

      Williams Brothers construction lobbies for policy that will get them more road construction contracts. They lobbied heavily against Prop B in 2023 and is the largest donor to mayor John Whitmire (who is now ignoring the will of the voters on prop B and MetroNext).

    I was born in 85 and used to go to a church by Mesa Rd so we used to drive by china town all the time in the early 90s, one of my earliest memories seeing China Town as a kid. Im sadden by this news. The real definition of "Started From The Bottom Now We're Here."

    It's been proven that "more" lanes doesn't cut down but adds to congestion. Granted, the 10/45/59 combo interchange is outdated, but more lanes won't amount to a bandaid on an amputation.

    How is that the 45n expansion. That picture indicates a merger into 59n in front of GRB and (going underground, why?). The 45n lanes at 59n go down to 2 lanes going around the southside of downtown. Thats were the major traffic is, not merging into 59n. 59n will heavily conjusted. That's not a well thought out plan

    People love their cars. There are Park & Rides all over. Yes the traffic is a bummer but people sit in traffic forever. If these big corporations would stop coming here, it would stop the traffic jam. Even Westheimer is a parking lot. When I was in college, graduating in 1995, I took a Geography class. My teacher who was in his 80s at the time, said the interstates are going to become parking lots. Looks like he's right. 😢

    That's not there first, or original location. Back tban that area was where the chinese had there busineses. All the vietnemese had our own shopping area on milam. There old location is on the same street. I use to love downtown back in the 80s. Things are so different now.
