They should boo. Lay an egg for second straight year against UM, as in gave up. I rather fans boo a bad effort than cheer. But they will support them if they somehow luck into the CFP.
Trash
@@ethanweeter2732 they weren't booing effort though. Booing the call. But tbf fans can't see what we see on TV. Not many in the stands saw it and since they were at home it probably wasn't replayed on the screens.
I’m a Buckeye Fan through and through. This game was embarrassing. They lost momentum and gave up. I knew, sadly, once we fought an actual opponent, that fought back, it wouldn’t happen.
I have no words for how disgusted I am with the Buckeyes today. I am truly ashamed of them. I've lost a lot of confidence in Day.
They didn't give up. Michigan is the better team.
@@timchamberlin9280 fellow Dawgs fan
yes we quit
Sorry Kevin, but this is what this team is. They got lucky against the other teams that they just barely scraped by, but today there was no escaping their own overrated standing. No, I am not a Michigan fan, I can't stand them either, but I just watch a lot of college football and if this team gets to the big stage, they'll just simply get embarrassed like they have so many times in the past 10 years. I'd rather they go to a lesser bowl and win for the Big 10 then go up against a power school and get housed.
This is about as smart as when those Spartan thugs attacked the two smallest Michigan players in the tunnel in front of a dozen cameras. Brilliant. Just brilliant. Go Blue!
Damn, that's one you could argue was worthy of an ejection, and I'm not talking about one from Ryan Day.
You do that during a play you're ejected for targeting
@@sawyernorthrop4078 nah. He didn’t use the crown of his helmet. Lol.
Totally agree...was my first thought also
What a punk moron!!!!!
Should have been ejected for targeting. I mean it really doesn't get more clear cut than that.
Coach Day pulled him after that, I believe. He would forever be in my doghouse or until he gets his head straight.
I love how he’s going “what? What did I do?”
i honestly dont get why he wasnt ejected
My father in law who is a football official, and my brother in law who officiates college football both said that could have been an ejection if the officials wanted to.
They need to expand the rules of targeting.
Because he’s a bunkeye. They always get away with sh*t. Cheating.
@@Jleed989 agreed. We can all honestly say that this was done with intent.
You need two unsportsmanlike penalties for an ejection.
Mistakes? Lack of self control
Sorry Field Judge, didn’t see you there…😆
Nor was he aware of the cameras filming every square inch of the field…
Ahahahaha
Kinda surprised he wasn’t ejected. If this was during the play isn’t it clear targeting. Honest question
I said the exact same thing
No this would not be targeting. For targeting you have to have forcible contact to the head or neck area of a defenseless player (player in the act of catching a pass; player throwing a pass or passing posture ect.) And include an indicator of target like a upward thrust or launch. The other way for it to be targeting is leading with the crown of the helmet aka spearing. This was running the mouth chicken fighting after the play. Contact was not forcible but outside the rules of the game. It was on egregious enough to be called flagrant. So correct call for unsportsmanlike this puts a counter on him if he gets another he's disqualified.
@@joshb8105 have to disagree...same outcome was possible.
@@davidgrove481 are you disagreeing with my definition of targeting? Or do you consider that a flagrant unsportsmanlike? Or do you think that it is targeting?
@@joshb8105 no Josh, not disagreeing with your definition, just that the outcome... possible concussion or similar injury is possible and ejection should have absolutely been the call.
No disrespect to you man ;)
Not even I would support this. Emotions are once again getting the best out of Ohio State.
To me, Michigan is continuing the momentum from last year, with a reloaded and improved team. JJ McCarthy has taken over at QB and Blake Corum has shined as RB1. And the defense is standing strong (maybe stronger) like it’s 2021 team. If Michigan wins, please beat the Big Ten West again, and represent the conference well in the Playoff
Sincerely,
A Buckeye Fan
Corum has only played one snap too, RB running core is still doing well without the help of him
@@Dylan-os4eg Yeah. That’s stunning to me. But I think Michigan could be saving him for next week. JJ McCarthy is the real deal 👍
Great comment! Sadly, not many OSU fans can have the sportsman-like attitude that truly allows them to analyze what happened.

This Ohio State team is soft on defense, the players lack discipline taking foolish penalties, the qb and others stars are somewhat overated, and the coach is arrogant. A toxic mess, and Michigan has just about broken them.

Exactly. It's a culture down there just like in East Lansing. Thuggery.
In my mind this cost Ohio State the game. It completely changed the momentum. There's no excuse for what he did.
You’re right. It wasn’t two Stroud picks and the Buckeyes giving up two 80 yard TD runs. It was this random unsportsmanlike conduct that lost them the game.

I'm a michigan fan and I was happy to see the buckeyes crumble on live tv but even I was scratching my head on how they lost all their steam going into the 4th quarter.
Yeah, I think Day seemed to check out in the 4th quarter when he punted the ball down 2 scores with just 9 minutes or so left.
Penalties and turnovers

Last year Roman Wilson got into a fight with Bucknutt Cam Brown. That was good too.

This is just like last year. Ohio State didn’t show up to play and, as a result, got punched in the mouth once again by this Michigan team. So much for “hanging 100 on them,” am I right, Ryan?
Didn’t show up?
Seems like Michigan just imposed their will on OSU
It’s ok to admit the better team won
I mean, 27 last year and 23 this year. Hes halfway to hanging 100 on them.
@@lordrayden3045 no they literally just didn’t show up lol
Nothing better than watching Ryan Day complain and cry on the sideline
And that is what gets me, he was fired up to hang 100 on 2020 and the next two games of the rivalry, he executes the worst game plans of his career next to CFP 2021 National Title game.
I can understand emotions in the heat of the moment during a play. This guy had time to think about it as he walked over, something like this should reach the level of an ejection in my opinion.
Exactly. If this happened during a play, and the Michigan player had the ball, he would have been ejected for targeting.
For those who are wondering if 88 got ejected,
Ryan Day did. Read his lips "Get him out of the game."
I was at work when the game started but I'm so glad I got to see the last quarter!! Great game! Glad MI won!
This play changed EVERYTHING
They would have still lost if they scored on this drive 45-23. Let alone a play called back that wasn’t a scoring play either.
Did anyone expect anything less from Ohio State?
I did. Thought Coach Day had learned his lessons from last year and prepared his team better for this game.
@@ethanweeter2732 He needs to be fired, Urban Meyer went 7-0 vs Michigan because he had the right mentality; on the other hand, Day seems to not care as much causing us to lose the game. Lots of people want him to be fired for making our team look mediocre.
@@icylayteno Relax, the only way Ryan Day leaves Ohio State or is fired is if Ohio State doesn’t get to a New Year’s Six Bowl Game, just like with Lincoln Riley after he left Oklahoma to USC immediately following the loss to Oklahoma State. Ryan Day will coach next year for Ohio State.
@@trentwilkinson7009 Then we’re just gonna go 0-3 to Michigan because he wastes the teams talent and makes them look average.
@@icylayteno Don’t think I associate myself with Ohio State because I’m a fan of it, I’m not, all I’m saying is that it takes more than one loss to your rival back-to-back to suggest someone to get fired. Plus, Lloyd Carr had an average team from 2004-2006 that was 0-3 against Ohio State and got them to two out of three major bowl games, so knock it off. Ohio State will still make to major bowl games and Ryan Day will still be head coach, even if they win the Big Ten Championship or not.
This was the momentum killer.
And the season killer.

You know, there is a stereotype that football players are complete idiots. Anyone have any ideas what could possibly perpetuate this stereotype? Maybe head butting an opponent 30 seconds after the play, out of bounds and right in front of an official.
Absolutely Michael!!! 😒
Great observation. Ha!
They're going to take away some helmet stickers for that one.
They were getting their hats handed to them before this. The O-line for Michigan brought it to another level early which made the defense match it. Well rounded game for the wolverines!!!
Yeah, but it was still one possession game and they had the ball in plus territory. The holding penalty is only a ten yard penalty. They got back 29 of the 35 yards, but they also just punted when they could have gone for it on 4th down. Day coached the whole game without any aggression.

Props to the OSU coach for taking that player out of the game. If you can't control your emotions at that level, you shouldn't be on the field
Michigan will win next year as well, McCarthy will have the buckeyes number at the big house. Im a lifelong buckeye fan and this is hard to watch. Not just because of the numbers but because the last 2yrs this buckeye team is extremely SOFT!! Not just physically but also mentally as we saw today. The tables have turned and I’m not sure if Ryan Day can beat Jim Harbaugh. I’m starting to think that Ryan day has a shock collar on his qb’s to not go passed the line of scrimmage.......
