@@spencersmith5202 there's some weird fix. IIRC you go on DS4Windows to settings then check hide ds4 controller, then on windows go to settings > Bluetooth devices> find your controller and then press forget device, after that you restart your computer, once your booted up make sure ds4windows is on hide ds4controller, then hold the share button and ps4 home button until u get those weird flashes, and finally connect you controller and it should work. If it doesn't work then unhide ds4 controller on ds4windows. Those steps usually work for me.
Im legit using a wire and im getting one flash of a orange light nothing happens on any software like scp or ds4 or steam Edit: Found Out You Need A Data Cable
PC recognizes controller, drivers are up to date, Steam recognizes controller, that controller work fine by wire but no way to get it to work in wireless mode
My controller connects but only the joystick and l2 r2 l1 r1 buttons work. The thumb pad and other buttons dont do anything. Ik the controller isn’t broken cause it’s fairly new. Feel like ive been searching for someone with my issue for a LONG TIME but once again it seems like its a me issue
Same issue. My pad worked fine until it said on steam there was a firmware update. I ignored it for a while then one day the buttons and D pad stopped working, then I update the firmware and now it's not recognised at all. I only get orange flashes as if it's charging. Let me know if you find a fix
@@sweatyhaggis4303 I was having the same issue but I fixed it! All you need to do is go to steam controller settings and toggle on "Playstation Configuration Support." XD
This didn't work at all, this was basic stuff my PS5 DS Controller is paired but it don't show up on Steam, I tried all of this to no vail, any other tips?
But today ive the same connectivity problem maybe was this Xbox configuration,maybe in some games play whit the cable and dont set in ds4 Xbox configuration
In OS I see it well, but the steam does not see nothing. If I try co find the driver, it just say "Looking for USB bootloader", press "fire" and wait about one minute....than it just say "No bootloader fund...it worked good until I install several windows updates, rollback is not possible, thanks Windows!
Did you ever find a fix for this? mines just stopped working all of a sudden. Same thing, its recognised by windows but not steam... Someone said try a data cable but I've got several cables. And two of them have definitely worked in that past.
@@br0wnaye983 I bought a cable because it wasn't included with the controller. the package says "Charge and play" so thought it will transmit data... it wasn't... then i used my phone cable and it immediatly worked. Chances are you also have a cable that doesn't transmit data.
For me the controller is working fine until I open steam. In windows's controller list I see my controller (Wireless Controller) but no input seems to work. What can I do? It used to work before a month or so.. Thanks
@@abhidanburman910 My controller works for epic. but once i open steam up, any game i play on steam or on epic when i have steam opened doesnt allow me to use my controller at all...
Mine is the same, but only when I'm using trough Bluetooth. If I connect it with a cable, it works just fine, but it's very disappointing having to do that. Yours is only with Bluetooth too?
my fix was to go under the controller setting in steam and make sure the box is checked that says "playstation controller input on steam" if its an xbox controller then do the xbox one then

None of these worked. Worked fine on my last pc.... This is gonna make me go back to being a console player.
Unless you're playing a fighter game I feel like a keyboard and mouse would be a better option anyway

My controller connected my laptop but couldnt input any key, it works before but when i configuring it in steam suddenly it just couldnt work anymore.

ps4 controller keeps disconnecting after I have ps5 controllers paired. Is there some kinda conflict or what?
