- What's up my loves? I'm back at it again with some more first impression fun featuring Carol's Daughter. Carol's Daughter added quite a few new additions to their lineup at the top of the year including this Coco Creme Curl Shaping Gel Cream. This products claims to be a lightweight cream gel that controls curls, provides moisture, and leaves your hair with movement. Today I'm putting this product to the test to see if it lives up to those claims.

Love your videos! Me and you have very similar textures. My hair if fine, low density soft coils and I trust your reviews. I have two jars of this gel and I use the coco cream moisture butter and this gel on my husband’s hair and I love the results for him.

Thanks Bri! (Hey Ellie 😺) I will definitely try this product out for the Spring/Summer as I tend to use cream stylers not heavy gels on my TWA in the heated months. I already have some items in the coco line so this tops it off. Love your detail and suggested practical usage for us minimal product users.

Great review! Your curls are beautiful. I am interested in that product. All the reviews I’ve watched have included a leave in conditioner. Please let us know if you try it as a one and done and how it behaves (maybe add a note). Another great wash and go IMO.
This has your hair looking very voluminous and effortless in a very put together way. I myself will be passing unless I was looking for a curl primer like you mentioned. I just don’t have a purpose for this right now idt. Thanks for the review boo!
Im just starting on this hair care journey and for now prefer a light hold styler. I have fine texture short hair and have experienced flakes and frizz with anything stronger. Thank you for this review.
I'm days late to the party, but thanks for the tip on repurposing the gel cream as a primer. I'm actually going to try that out with the curlsmith flexi jelly. I love it on day 1, but only because it won't hold to day 2.

Hey girl! I don’t bang with silicones like that. But I know that can have a place in hair care especially when heat styling. But my hair never reacts well to products that have silicon3 in th3m.

I like the shine and movement. Itt looks effortless. Would you compare the hold to a cream wash n go? Like I use the renpure coconut crème leave-in and the Taliah Waajid shea coco curl soufflé. I love it but it gives no weight to my hair and so the shrinkage causes a lot of fairy knots. The leave-in doesn't work with my pink eco style gel so I'm wondering if this product could be used alone under a gel(like a leave-in), or as a one and done heavy cream?

I think you’re confusing curl pattern and texture. Curl pattern is your curl shape (mine is 3c/4a). Texture refers to the circumference of your strand (mine is fine to medium).
