    The first time I heard this song, it was a new song. Along with She Loves You, those 2 songs were so fresh, so alive, so new. It didn't matter how often they played it on the AM radio, you couldn't get enough of it. And, I had no idea what the band looked like. Until I saw them on the Ed Sullivan Show. Every live show, from the moment the band was introduced, constant screaming. The audience drowned out the band with screams, and they didn't care. It was a pouring out of emotion and elation just being in their presence and seeing them in person. They were the greatest band on the planet and they were just getting started. And they were getting better. Every year, every album was better than the last. I can remember holding a new Beatles album in my hands, never having heard any of the tracks, but knowing there's great music on it that I will love for the rest of my life. And, if I forgot to mention, thanks for all you do and your breakdowns.

    Thank you so much for posting. Quite an amazing session Mr Galeazzo Frudua. "Variation creates attention", "Continuously creating variation & interest", "The cadence of how Sir Paul McCartney plays the notes is the pivotal thing". "Chromatic scale": sometimes is muted and other times is sustained , & "Where, and how the notes are played, considered as a whole, is of paramount importance". You are a blessing to the music industry

    Has Paul McCartney ever reached out to this guy and thanked him for his amazing work? Ringo, maybe?

    • @ronmaljak8401
      @ronmaljak8401 Год назад +2

      what would Paul need to thank him for, copying his bass parts?

    • @ThaiThom
      @ThaiThom Год назад +6

      @@ronmaljak8401 A whole lot more than just copying, he has been teaching it - and a whole lot more than just Paul's bass guitar parts. This guy has analyzed Beatles music more carefully - and put his work out for everyone to see - than anyone else in the world. He probably knows Paul's parts - and John's, George's and Ringo's - better than Paul and Ringo combined. Not only that, but he teaches them to the whole world - exactly how it is done. He teaches all of their vocals and everything else. Paul should thank him for teaching the Beatles music to the whole world - with exact precision. This guy should be Paul's right hand man. If Paul wanted to do a Beatles show, this guy could easily take John's and/or George's place. He could be Paul's tech. Any Beatles project, this guy should be Paul's main man. Paul should thank him for all of it, for being that guy who knows it all - and shares it all. With the world. For free.

      Surely, it's the people who benefit from these videos that should thank him, not Paul McCartney. McCartney helped in a big way in creating this music in the first place, so if anything, BVH should be thanking him.

      @ThaiThom - I really appreciate your comment and thank you for posting. Nonetheless, I support the principle that being grateful to someone who did something for you for free, but that YOU DIDN'T ASK FOR, might be fair but not forcely due.

    You point out these subtleties of bass playing like an Indian sitar player would! Amazing work.
    I still think the world needs an in depth interview with Paul about his bass playing. I still don't know how much was natural instinct and how much he actually sat and worked out things like the variations between verses. I can't help but think he was playing off the subtle changes of the other band members, Ringo especially.

    I've been a huge fan of your videos for years and years now. Your breakdown of their harmonies always gives me a new appreciation for what's really going on in these tracks. But I am more excited about the Hey Bulldog video than I think I've ever been for a RUclips video! I'm a songwriter and musician and Hey Bulldog is one of the few baselines that still eludes me. I've tried to figure out what he's playing, but I can never seem to pick it out

      They learnt along time, most probably from George Martin, that variation creates interest and attention.
