Yes! Hybrid’s driving dynamics and gas mileage are way better than the gas version. If you don’t mind how the gas version drives though, you’ll get it much quicker! Would suck for you to have to wait all over again!
This is a car I'd be interested in. I've owned Toyota's for about 25 years off and on and I'm driving a Toyota Tacoma now. Toyota's a great choice for anyone.
The Corolla Cross hybrid addresses the main faults of the Mazda CX-5, less than economical fuel economy, and skimpy interior space. It retains the bottom-feeder grille, although hopefully allowing more road clearance in the front. The black roof is a really dumb idea in the American south, southwest and California. Will test-drive one and see if I can convince my wife.
My dealer has one coming in first week of July in USA and I’ve paid a deposit to lock it down. Can’t wait… and the amazing thing is they aren’t adding anything extra to the MSRP value.
You’ll have to wait a year to get one. Toyota still experiencing major delays in the hybrid production, no parts, chips and hybrid battery shortages. Ongoing 3 years.
Wish the grill wasn’t so big! Plus the stripes along inner side of seat really bug me on XSE which is the level I want. Wish it was ventilated softex instead.
While the eloquent praises of this model are well appreciated it would be more meaningful if you add what you like and what you don't like in this model to the video . Corollas are known for their road noise ( own 2 of them currently) and this has to be highlighted in the video for a better overall coverage of this product from Toyota.
I've been waiting for this car to come out. I currently drive a Corolla Hatchback and would like a slightly bigger car that provides comparable gas mileage. However, I've heard there is no spare tire, so I will probably wait a couple of years and hope for a redesign.
you wont ever see a spare tire on hybrids. it needs the space for the huge batteries. also being a chick, yur never going to change a tire anyway, be real here. just use a $10 can of fix a flat
@@srobeck77 Nonsense. My 2002 Toyota Prius had a spare tire and my 2018 Honda Accord Hybrid also has a spare tire. I have AAA and they come when I call. Fix a Flat is useless when your tire is slashed, which I have experienced.
I suppose you could always just buy a spare and keep it in the back, flat in a carboard box... or braced up against a side. Not ideal, but most days you wouldn't fill the back anyway.
In Sweden since 2019 Toyotas models (Yaris, Corolla, RAV4) are only offered as Hybrids because it makes absolute zero sense to pick a non-hybrid one this day of age.

One thing not discussed by reviewers is that there is no spare tire with the hybrid model. There’s a tire inflation kit (air pump and repair gunk) but what if that doesn’t work because the hole is too large there’s a tear in the sidewall? Plus, wouldn’t the gunk screw up the TPMS? This is a big issue for this model IMHO.

@@carhelpcorner excellent. You can always throw in some Corolla hybrid AWD comparisons mixed in the RAV4 Hybrid vs Corolla Cross Hybrid. Other than not being an SUV there are probably some points to be made in comparing it to the other two vehicles.

Why does Toyota Canada say the mileage of the Corolla Cross Hybrid is 6.4 l/100 km? What mileage did you get while you were driving it? I am comparing to the Niro Hybrid which gets 4.5 l/100 km
Toyota just updated the rating to 5.6L/100km which is easily achievable. I'd say forget the Niro. The Corolla Cross is a far better value and a safer choice for longevity.
Do you have any information on when it may be available? My 2012 Prius V is getting old with 330000 km and I’m afraid the hybrid batteries might give out.

I’m getting my Hybrid XSE in about 4 weeks. It’s white and doesn’t seem to have the black roof. I went in to get the standard XLE, I got there and the dealer told me the XLE was going to take about 2months to arrive but they already have hybrid XSE coming in in 4 weeks. I’m so glad I opted for that option. I paid a deposit to lock it down and can’t wait to take delivery. The amazing thing is my dealer is selling it at MSRP in GA, USA.
