    I like to use these to soften the corners of a privacy fences in the back yard. I also like that you pointed out that evergreen back drop.

      That's a great use of these beauties! And yes, we think it helps in the wintertime to involve an evergreen to keep up the privacy if that's the intention.

      Exciting to watch our plants grow up 🌱 At the start of each growing season, you can place a small amount of slow-release shrub fertilizer around the dripline of your plants to give them growing food for the season.

      There are so many gorgeous trees and shrubs that even on two acres you'll find you don't have enough room. Speaking from experience.

      These like moist soil so during the growing season I would think water once or twice per week. Here is a good article www.southernliving.com/garden/flowering-shrub-chinese-snowball-viburnum

    Can I grow this in zone 9A? Possibly 6 hours direct sun

    • @OutdoorInspirations
      @OutdoorInspirations  2 года назад +2

      They will grow great from zones 6-9 and are recommended to have 6-8 hours of full sun. Sounds like you're good to go! 😎

    Does it tolerate sun? My area is in zone 8, not super hot in summer but some plants still get burn if there's no shade

    • @OutdoorInspirations
      @OutdoorInspirations  3 года назад

      Yes it can tolerate full sun, would be happiest if it can have some relief either by dappled sunlight from tree branches or if the sun was blocked out by 3pm or so

    When do you prune it?

    • @OutdoorInspirations
      @OutdoorInspirations  3 года назад +2

      If you need to prune it (some let it grow full size) then do it right after the blooms all finish- which should be now or couple weeks depending on where you live.

      Chinese versions grow large 4-8" flowers, Japanese smaller at 3". Yes they both could grow in an appropriately sized container. We do not recommend where to buy beyond central NC.

    One problem you did not name the plant by it's true name.
