JHESUS CHROISSSTTT!!!! And to be fair...the lyrics are as good as they always are...but the album and beat selection don't match normal em style. if there was an odd man out...its this album lol
I actually liked this album..but I am 50 yrs old. I am pretty sure that's the problem that the album had. I think he was trying to move into a new area in his music. To me it's similar to his first album...trying to find his new course. I feel bad for him that it wasn't well received. Thanks for your hard work EA!! Sorry I got on a soapbox Lol💕💕💕
I love this album, and i can honestly tell you that Em pour his soul into this album. Into Castle, Arose, Believe, Walk on water, also F3amed is aon this album. So manny good songs. As alwayys- great breakdown
Hello!! This is one of my favorite from Revival... But then again, I'm probably in minority here cause I liked big part of the whole album! Think Revival was something he had to do for himself mostly... Ok production wasn't on his level, but man he delivered so much emotions, storytelling, his views, showed us his fears... That album was full of content and I really loved it! You did amazing breakdown, once again, that goes without saying!!💯💯 Tragic Endings - Double Castle / Arose - Back to back / genius Bad Husband - Closing chapter with Kim Walk On Water - Showed us his vulnerabilities Untouchable - Racism ... Among all the others... *Bars for days and days *
Revival was a good album. Yes, maybe a little on the soft side for some hard hip hop heads which is why it got shit on. But he had some real shit to say that he felt was needed. Believe is truly powerful.
I agree with both of y'all!! the album lyrics are fire and so emotional...but the production did it no justice...lyrics could be some of his best but they will always get overlooked because the production is just subpar compared to his other tracks
Fun fact Despite the backlash of Revival: it managed to be in the top 10 selling albums of 2017 and only a few albums of 2018 outsold Revival: Drake’s Scorpion album was one of them Revival also went Platinum Em wasn’t kidding when he said ‘My biggest flops are your greatest hits’
People wanted Em to be woke but then said he was too fucking woke, 'we dont like the direction he took' but begged him to do something different. He put his heart and soul in this album and everything spit on it like it wasnt amazing lyrically
a lot of people do say the same! and I actually do love the lyrics...just the execution of production I wasn't feeling. very pop sound for such an emotional album.
@@TheThirdErnest I understand, it took me a minute to get used to the beats for some of them too, but the lyrics are still there so I gave it a few listens & now it doesn't bother me.
Man I love most songs on revival, personally Believe is probably one of my least favs from this album. I love Remind Me, In Your Head, Heat etc. Like I love those songs but idk that's just me
Great breakdown you do it like no other reactors hardly missing anything. You increase our knowledge of these tracks as well. . Those labels should really be giving you a check . . good work
By far my fav track off this album. Right from the get go. Pen/pin rhymes -air about me like wind chimes. (Wind chimes can be in the form of pins that make musical noises when air blows on them.) one of my favorite em schemes ever.
Skills oj this album is incredible, amazing, just out of every line of rap... Quality of music (beats, lyrics, rhymes, flows) here are just crazy, level universe.... All respect for this album!
OOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHH! “Since cleaning out my closet when I was having trouble with the snare” I GET IT!! That’s one of the songs he produced and he always had trouble finding the right snare for it!
You have literally become my go to for reaction/ breakdown videos. Thank you for catching bars and explaining why they are 🔥 Most youtubers dont do that! Definitely subscribed, definitely clicked the BELL. Proceed man, I'm ready for more 🙌🏽
Give walk on water a chance bro. Yeah it does ft Beyonce, but it's minimal. Lyrics are fire and his flow is more like poetry. I'm sure you know this, bus he talks about the struggle of having to outdo himself every track/album
I know this has been almost a year.. But i really love this song.. I believe this song is not just about Em.. But also his relationship with the dream itself.. Like that dream/faith itself is expressing itself.. Coz in the first verse he summarized that he already achieved it all physically (it is also an intro of how the dream was formed), but still felt despair despite his achievements.. Its probably bcoz of the purpose of that dream/faith isnt really about having it all by himself but for everybody else too.. And this goes back to how he said he was Pac's student, and knowing Pac, that legend fought for a bigger purpose.. So this "faith" is questioning its existence and purpose whether shud it still exist or not.. But Em cudnt end it coz if he did, then he himself will no longer have a purpose.. Hence the question do you still believe in me? Like do u believe there is more to me (faith/dream).. Thats the message im getting.. So this song is actually really2 deep and personal.. Hence the melody and beat played to reflect it.. As well Em is asking the realists, fans and other rappers, do they still believe? Its good that there are breakdowns of this, but one has to understand why those words were chosen to be penned down. The idea, philosophy, emotions and expressions behind it. Sometimes the most simplest words in the verses are the real message.. My opinion of course..
Flawless as usual!! Love your new do!! When Em starts the do you still believe part...I get goosebumps!! That part is very emotional for him. And I know!!!😀😀😀😀💕💕💕💕
Believe is a fucking masterpiece. I don't understand how people can hate on Revival when this song is on it - like omg! How does he even do this stuff, I can't...
Fella. Keep your work up! You are smart!! Trust me. One Day Em or someone of his Team or Label or Surrounding will see these Videos... and realize that you are able to freakin Breakdown the Goats Lyrics and get all rights to Upload all Eminem Songs :D

Everything else on the ideal tracklist would've been his political stance, and a update for the fans that care about his mental/ personal state, by talking about Kim and his daughter once again, and telling you some of the thoughts he's been challenged with
Personally didn't think it was as terrible as everyone else did. It wasn't supposed to be a hard hitter album, it was meant to be more apologetic and emotional. He wanted it to be a bit slower in most songs on purpose. He also wanted people to come at him the way they did, so he could 8 mile it and fire back in his future stuff in which he did. Hints the name Revival. It's about how he came back from his struggles and completely turned himself and his life around as well as his perspective. How he has matured and has taken accountability. It wasn't meant to be a hard hitting beat type of thing or a go off kind of thing but more of a , "listen to my lyrics," kind of thing because they all have deeper meanings than what most give a chance and are personal to him. I respect your opinion though everyones allowed to feel how they feel. Just giving my thoughts. Revival is him coming back from the drugs that made him feel dead and trauma and creating a better purpose out of it all but even if it wasn't his "best," I feel like its still better than anything else being put out. Music anymore now a days for me has just lacked purpose and meaning.
Believe is my 3rd fav Em song. Great Reaction. Btw I like old chloraseptic more than the remix because it's so much more technically interesting. Just from a flow and cadence and rhythm perspective. Like the "Nut drives a - bud Weiser- truck ...." scheme has a flow that I've a) never heard, and b) not confident that anyone else could do.
Favorite tracks on Revival album are 1. *Walk On Water* (is a Masterpiece and especially with the music video 10/10) 2. *Castle/Arose* (both tracks connect and both tracks are another masterpiece that’s on this album.) 3. *In Your Head* 4. *Tragic Ending* 5. *River* 6. *Believe* For me the album is a 6/10 not his best work but I don’t think the whole album is garbage like some people say. But anyway I still like the review of the track so gave you a thumbs up.
Let me just do a collection of what most people consider good songs on this album: Believe River *Walk on Water *Like Home Castle Arose that's a decent amount of songs that are actually really good. I personally don't think the beats are bad, I think it's something you have to get used to. And since everyone else in the industry is doing the same thing right now it was just a bit too experimental. And as for the politics. Give the album 20 years. When we can all look back on the shit going on right now without so much impotence and fatigue.
You are definitely one of the dopest reactors when it comes to Eminem songs. Can you do a 2.0 with Randy Chriz lyric video. You know Randy videos are dope…..
That's because you didn't listen to it right, the album itself is actually amazing, it's got all 3 of him in there, he literally made the song framed which ended being a prequal to the song 3am from his relapse album, enthen walk on water and believe went together and castle and arose went together also
thanks for watching man! and yeah I get the construct of the album and the ties were all great...LOVE the lyrics and vulnerability...it was literally just the beat selections and the feature selections. I love progression...just don't like the production if that makes sense
Ernest my man, I missed so much on this track b4 I heard this reaction; Heh thank you man :) also I got to stop giving up on my cards. #Goodtimes Fire Reaction!!
Revival is a fire album if you love lyrics story telling and emotion I love the album but the stans are the ones who want slim shady pill head violent murderous thought slim every rapper grows up and grows to be better Eminem's lyrics compared to when he was young are insane now he as evolved to one one or I say the best rapper alive today he's the man that's truly mastered his craft and can tell you a story at the same time I like all Eminem's personalities but wanting him to stay slim and stay stook in the past nope as he said in rap god he's morfed into a immortal coming through the portal your stook in a time warp he refuses to stay stook in the past as a died bleech blond haired shady and his fans need to let him do him
Smooth E !!! finally, i am bumping headz with you (in the most pleasant way possible ... lol) i think Revival is a gr8 album ... itz very true that itz not on the level of some of his previous work, but sensitive to other veins of thought and expression ... some poppish ... some political ... some socially aware ... it was a branch into the unknown ... and he put his rational self out there, very vulnerable for a person that used personas to propel himself thru life what i appreciated most in this song is the tempo changes (mostly, the staccato rhyme pattern ... boss !!! 😎) but, in all fairness to all the fans that didn't enjoy this album, i get it (really, i do ... but i feel that y'all hafta admit that you were spoiled by everything previous, and that an album like this would be compared to his previous body of work, which was inevitable, but unfair in most respects, bcuz these features didn't appeal to his fans ... bcuz it wasn't Eminem, or MarshallMathers, or SlimShady ... it was a man with amazing skill, sharing the spotlight with people who wanted to collab with him, while speaking to society in a way we weren't used to hearing) at any rate ... i felt that this song should've been the very last song on the album ... in that way the impact, and the meaning (exactly as you broke it down, so masterfully, as usual) would have been asking his fans, after hearing this body of work, do YOU still BELIEVE ? fuego analysis, as alwayz 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥(6 flamez iz the max breakdown rating)((u've been nothing lower than 5 flames, regardless of how many you see in my post)) i'm a fan until you decide to quit ... thanx for putting in the work gr8 job !!! 😉 tranquility ✌ wl
willie!! haha I knew we would see opposite sides eventually! I think the reason I was so disappointed in the album is because the lyrics were solid af and the production let them down. I wanted the album to go in as much as the lyrics did but for me they just didn't do it justice!
I agree Willie...you must be older than 40 Lol I decided that older folks are more willing to embrace Revival. I forgive EA he is still young and hungry Lol I hope Em tries his grown man road again!
@@deenaschilling7568 yes, MzDeena ... i'm 55yo ... i remember a tyme b4 there was hip-hop ... thingz were more militant, after the initial party phase of hip-hop and rap ... substance will alwayz overshadow skill, but therez a certain level of skill that has to be present, else itz not listenable ... thanx for your insight on my old age ... lmao😉 tranquility ✌ wl
@@TheThirdErnest i feel you, Smooth E ... i hafta agree that production wasn't the greatest, but i was genuinely moved by the substance that was brought to the table ... and it wasn't like he was in some kind of 'funk', because he was still doing stuff with Royce that was fuego ... i feel you, though ... i ain't even mad atcha ... this is one of the koolest disagreements that i've ever had ... thanx !!! tranquility ✌ wl
@@hamaqal I knew you had to be close to my 50 lmao I remember the first rap/hip hop song I ever heard was "Friends" by an old group Whodini. I am an open minded music fan...I like it all!!! But Em is my fav rapper...because of his writing. I don't see that slipping on Revival...so I liked it. EA is still young enough to want it all!!! I love his videos because of that...he will appreciate Revival in about 15 yrs..lol. Peace!!☺😀💕
Another dope breakdown sir! This is probably my favorite track from Revival...but the edit of the dude in the Jesus shirt 😂😂🙌...and hi to🐶. Catch you on the next one!
Yeah Revival is not his best album, but it grows on me more every time I listen to the songs. It features a lot of lyrical content that we love from Eminem, despite some of the beats being meh. Some of the beats I liked actually, even tho most of them were rock beats. Also his flow was definitely not like normal Em because they were choppy at times, but he did make some of the choppy flows work somehow :) Revival is definitely a lyrical content album with lots of storytelling, and not so much for like the crazy beats and flow that he's known for.
You should give this song another listen... you missed way more bars than you have in most songs in the last year, I think you've grown, and I think you need to give this at the very least another listen. If not the whole album. You may not like the beat selection, but the lyrics are just as amazing as they always are, you owe it to yourself. 😘
I don't think there is anything more I can say about this dude that I haven't said before but you prove over and over that you are the one man lean mean bar catching machine lol
Hey, I'd like to get your opinion on Framed from Revival. (It's the follow-up to Relapse's 3 A.M.) Don't know if this is lyrically suited to breakdown, but combined with the videos I bet you could make an interesting 2 fold of 3 A.M. and Framed.
Way late to this channel but appreciate the reactions. I had Encore as worse than Revival but the production choices were def questionable on this album
yes! saw that as another suggestion so probably will be doing in the future! its funny that he combined song themes from two of his worst albums in his fans eyes lol
In the skit ‘Em calls Paul’ on Kamikaze: he is finding someone who fucked up the understanding of this song PS good breakdown! This clearly didn’t go over your head! You are off the hit list for Kamikaze 2!
Bruh I have listened to that song a lot but I totally missed the fanny pack, hourglasses / no time to waste/waist line. Damn that was a bar. Not even surprised you caught that
An incredible song lost to a weak album. Same with a couple other tracks like Framed, Castle and Arose. Especially Castle and Arose. His execution of those 2 is perfect.
Vibevilla pointed out the whole scheme with the toll booth part. It's like the process of making a song. Heart beats loop, produce, laying vocals, bridge, booth. Their breakdown was fire.
True Eminem fans appreciate revival. It’s a personal album from Em. Who gives a duck about the beat? Thought rap music was supposed to be about the lyrics and the message. This is the fucking problem with people today. Care way to much about the fucking beat of a song instead of the content and message within it.
To be honest, I don't think Revival is the worst album by Eminem, of course definitely not one of his top quality albums, personally though, I would place Relapse below Revival. Believe is one hot track from Revival, but the best I believe is Castle and Arose combo, esp Arose, the song title is a double entendre, as the literally meaning of arose, or a rose nothing the background music is the song "rose"! and we all know when Em gets personal is when he is in his godlike mode, and those two songs are one of the most personal reflective ones by Em.
Bruh...this album was grown man shit, FR. Spilled his heart out, Fk the beats bc he gave us real talk on this album 🔥Which btw I like a lot of the beats. Good breakdown though.

By far my fav track off this album. Right from the get go. Pen/pin rhymes -air about me like wind chimes. (Wind chimes can be in the form of pins that make musical noises when air blows on them.) one of my favorite em schemes ever.

that's a decent amount of songs that are actually really good.
I personally don't think the beats are bad, I think it's something you have to get used to. And since everyone else in the industry is doing the same thing right now it was just a bit too experimental. And as for the politics. Give the album 20 years. When we can all look back on the shit going on right now without so much impotence and fatigue.
I would agree.... the beat selection was not that great but ems rhyme scheme through the album was really good. None the less another great reaction
pretty much how I feel about it and it frustrates me...I love the lyricism but no replay value
You are definitely one of the dopest reactors when it comes to Eminem songs. Can you do a 2.0 with Randy Chriz lyric video. You know Randy videos are dope…..
My favorites are Castle and Arose. It was a creative combination.
yupppp might have to do a long video on the two together.
Not a fan of River? I like that collab with Ed that was some good storytelling.
@@Ayaforshort River is alright but it didn't personally click with me.
@@TheThirdErnest yeah, pretty much how I feel, only 4 or 5 songs with real replay value.
Yah idk I still bump to all the songs on the album lol
Ernest my man, I missed so much on this track b4 I heard this reaction; Heh thank you man :) also I got to stop giving up on my cards. #Goodtimes Fire Reaction!!
Revival is a fire album if you love lyrics story telling and emotion I love the album but the stans are the ones who want slim shady pill head violent murderous thought slim every rapper grows up and grows to be better Eminem's lyrics compared to when he was young are insane now he as evolved to one one or I say the best rapper alive today he's the man that's truly mastered his craft and can tell you a story at the same time I like all Eminem's personalities but wanting him to stay slim and stay stook in the past nope as he said in rap god he's morfed into a immortal coming through the portal your stook in a time warp he refuses to stay stook in the past as a died bleech blond haired shady and his fans need to let him do him
Definitely not his worst album, I love it
a lot of people do!! lyrically I love it as well!! which one is his worst in your eyes??
Ernest Arrellano encore and relapse are up the worst in my opinion
Firecracker is a double too when you look at it as " fire cracker." Being like "man that white dude is fire."
The silalable ! 😂😂
Smooth E !!!
finally, i am bumping headz with you (in the most pleasant way possible ... lol)
i think Revival is a gr8 album ... itz very true that itz not on the level of some of his previous work, but sensitive to other veins of thought and expression ...
some poppish ... some political ... some socially aware ... it was a branch into the unknown ... and he put his rational self out there, very vulnerable for a person that used personas to propel himself thru life
what i appreciated most in this song is the tempo changes (mostly, the staccato rhyme pattern ... boss !!! 😎)
but, in all fairness to all the fans that didn't enjoy this album, i get it (really, i do ... but i feel that y'all hafta admit that you were spoiled by everything previous, and that an album like this would be compared to his previous body of work, which was inevitable, but unfair in most respects, bcuz these features didn't appeal to his fans ... bcuz it wasn't Eminem, or MarshallMathers, or SlimShady ... it was a man with amazing skill, sharing the spotlight with people who wanted to collab with him, while speaking to society in a way we weren't used to hearing)
at any rate ... i felt that this song should've been the very last song on the album ... in that way the impact, and the meaning (exactly as you broke it down, so masterfully, as usual) would have been asking his fans, after hearing this body of work, do YOU still BELIEVE ?
fuego analysis, as alwayz
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥(6 flamez iz the max breakdown rating)((u've been nothing lower than 5 flames, regardless of how many you see in my post))
i'm a fan until you decide to quit ...
thanx for putting in the work
gr8 job !!! 😉

willie!! haha I knew we would see opposite sides eventually!
I forgive EA he is still young and hungry Lol I hope Em tries his grown man road again!

yes, MzDeena ... i'm 55yo ... i remember a tyme b4 there was hip-hop ... thingz were more militant, after the initial party phase of hip-hop and rap ...
substance will alwayz overshadow skill, but therez a certain level of skill that has to be present, else itz not listenable ...
thanx for your insight on my old age ... lmao😉

i feel you, Smooth E ...
i hafta agree that production wasn't the greatest, but i was genuinely moved by the substance that was brought to the table ... and it wasn't like he was in some kind of 'funk', because he was still doing stuff with Royce that was fuego ...
i feel you, though ... i ain't even mad atcha ...
this is one of the koolest disagreements that i've ever had ... thanx !!!

Catch you on the next one!
hahahahah when I realized I compared him to Jesus I just had to insert that clip...I was laughing doing it lol. and Nima says hi back!
Like always u are great. Do walk on water. Thats 🔥
will be circling around to random em songs and want to do that one for sure! thanks for coming back!
this is the best Eminem song on that album, and may have some of the best bars ever.
This was the warning shot for an album like kamikaze.
revival is amazing
Half of album is dope
Please do a reaction of Not afraid! I love that song!
will do!! ill be circling back to other em songs in the future!
Best Em album
"fix a flat" is also used to fix tires temporarily. Spray bottle of fix a flat.
100% on the beat selection on this record. Its really the only Eminem album i dont fuck with... love the review
same...lyrically I know its great...just can give it the replay because the beats
Bro plz do bad husband it's a great song and my personal favorite em song ever
You should give this song another listen... you missed way more bars than you have in most songs in the last year, I think you've grown, and I think you need to give this at the very least another listen. If not the whole album. You may not like the beat selection, but the lyrics are just as amazing as they always are, you owe it to yourself. 😘
People hate on this album but you have to try different things. He still spits fire on this album.
I don't think there is anything more I can say about this dude that I haven't said before but you prove over and over that you are the one man lean mean bar catching machine lol
appreciate that!! thanks for continuing to come back!!
@@TheThirdErnest you deserve it man, keep up the quality of your work bro
Hey, I'd like to get your opinion on Framed from Revival. (It's the follow-up to Relapse's 3 A.M.) Don't know if this is lyrically suited to breakdown, but combined with the videos I bet you could make an interesting 2 fold of 3 A.M. and Framed.
That guy dancing in the Jesus shirt! Lol I love this song and river! Your hair looks great!
hahahha that meme kills me! and thank you!
@@TheThirdErnest your welcome!
My top 4 hh song ever (Nine - MakeItOrTakeIt/Nas - One Mic/ Eminem - Bealive/ Luniz - I got 5 on it 🔮🦋🔮 Great reaction 🦋💜🦋
Way late to this channel but appreciate the reactions. I had Encore as worse than Revival but the production choices were def questionable on this album
Thank you
Hey bro u should react to 3am and framed they go together and there is way to much going on and we need ur help to break them down bro!!
yes! saw that as another suggestion so probably will be doing in the future! its funny that he combined song themes from two of his worst albums in his fans eyes lol
FRAMED!!!!
In the skit ‘Em calls Paul’ on Kamikaze: he is finding someone who fucked up the understanding of this song
PS good breakdown! This clearly didn’t go over your head!
You are off the hit list for Kamikaze 2!
Thanks for the breakdown!
thanks for watching it!!
Bruh I have listened to that song a lot but I totally missed the fanny pack, hourglasses / no time to waste/waist line. Damn that was a bar. Not even surprised you caught that
Good break down bro !! 🔥👌🏽
thanks man!!
Man Revival has a good vibe i just fuck with every song in there except that one with Pink
Not mine. I love the lyrics
I have that watch!!
Have you done Untouchable?
An incredible song lost to a weak album.
Same with a couple other tracks like Framed, Castle and Arose. Especially Castle and Arose. His execution of those 2 is perfect.
Can u do eminem deja vu pls?
good shit as usual bro
appreciate it man! thanks for returning!
Ernest Arrellano ofcourse my g👍🏼 keep it up
Vibevilla pointed out the whole scheme with the toll booth part.
Great vid... Already a subscriber so you get a like and the bell 😏
ill take it!! thanks for being part of the family!
Yo you that dude every bar caught good shit! Can you do sing for the moment or any of his infinite shit
yup. plan on both in the future! thanks for watching man!
Nice... 👏👏👏
thank you and thanks for being in the fam!

Hope all is well boss, I have a request? "Wicked Ways" breakdown. Whenever you can be safe.
