Hi! Thanks for the great video. We love the Merlin vibes ❤ Are there beach restaurants or casual thai style restaurants in short walking distance or is everything shut down due to rainy season? Grüße aus Deutschland
Hi, I stayed more towards the centre of khao Lak and can confirm during my 6 weeks stay very few places were actually closed. Some didn't open every day but most places including the night market stay open just not as busy. I've made a walking video of the Khao lak main street in the evening which I will link below. There are shops and restaurants open behind the merlin resort which most seemed open when I was there. ruclips.net/video/I1wJBG4d_oA/видео.htmlsi=q--rrGp39piSur8a It's only 200 baht for a taxi from your hotel to the khao Lak center.
@@seanscuba thank you so much for your answer. We probably will split nang thong and merlin. We are former backpackers travelling with our 2 toddlers first time to thailand and just want a great holiday with relaxed dinners as we are used to - but no more skipping hotel every other day and no bikes anymore 😀
@@tk-bp5knthere are restaurants in walking distance from Merlin serving traditional Thai, Indian, Thai bbq, some were closed as it was May when we stayed 😊 but there is a taxi rank just amongst those restaurants and bars too and as seanscuba travels said it’s only 200 Baht to the centre. Also a seven eleven in walking distance too which is handy with kids

How is the weather in june/July?
It's low season and I think I've been lucky with the weather so far. It rained a lot when I arrived at the end of May but it's been lovely during June
Can you speak German??😊
Lol sorry I can barely manage English.
