Hey, I know. But I also told you that I rarely do stretching. You can just jump up and down, run a little bit, spread your legs a little bit,.. etc. All in all, you don't need any of that to achieve the Roll Spike Kick. :) I'm very busy lately with work, school, and stuff. Hope this helps you a little bit. I will do definitely do stretching in the next takraw video, but I don't know when I will be doing it. Cheers!
@analyticengine44 It's a part of the process. Next time, you know that landing is important. Now your left hand will be recovered soon. Next thing, try not to land with your left hand. Kick your left leg up high and hard. It helps you go up higher. So that you have more time to land. Peace!
@CoastaMonsta However for that matter, you can always try it out, keep doing the low jump kick. It will get you there somehow, you will figure it out how to keep one leg on the air, then land with the other leg, and jump higher. Whenever you skip the low jump kick and try to do the last step (the complete rotation which will not be completed), you will end up getting hurt. So, like I said, low jump kick and getting higher and higher. Peace!
Sigh, and there, you know the cause of this terrible thing. I hope his arm is not broken. If it's just hurting, then he will be just fine. I had that too, but I never went to the doctor for such accident. This is why I'm telling everyone to do it and master it on the soft ground before you are sure and confident enough to do it on a hard ground. Hope he will get better soon.
It's ok to land with hands first. And it's also normal to get sore. Just keep doing what you're doing, but you have to think about how to make it better every time. To land with your foot first, you must not be sore, so take a break. And you must be strong and fast. Like I said, keep doing it. and you will be strong and fast.
Yes, it can hurt you. But if you do it right, it will not hurt you much. Follow this: 1. Practice on the soft ground. 2. Try to really master the low jump kick. 3. Kick leaves more often before you kick the Takraw ball. 4. Try to win your fear by letting yourself flip backward. You will feel so much safer on the soft ground so that you won't be worry about getting hurt at all.
All you need is experience and strength. To get them, you have to practice. When you practice a lot, you will get the experience. When you get the experience, strength will automatically be there by then. How long have you been doing it? Just so you know that it takes more than a year for most Takraw players. Only a few that can make it as fast as a couple of months.
May 2020... Just passing by to watch this awesome tutorial that i used to watch during my college days. 🤣 this video tutorial teaches me to do that killer move rolling spike. 👍
I wish I could learn this trick so that I can teach my teammates. We are joining a competition but we only know the basics. Thank you very much for this video it is very helpful. You ROCK!!
@jhocky123 :D Man, I guess you are left-legged, too? I knew it, someone might ask me this. Ok, I think you have to reverse from right to left. It might be easier for you to do it that way. I might be making another video for this one and add some extra things that I was missing in this video. However, swing the upper body to the left, then quickly kick the right leg up and follow by the left leg swings over the right leg. Remember, right leg stays on the air. Try it. This thing takes time.
Well, yeah. I believe you're right about how it takes time to master it. I been doing it since I saw you're tutorials about a month ago. I've been in my province every weekend, doing some practice in the basic twists and also mistakenly falls every time I make it high enough.
@sharwin96 Keep doing the low jump kick. Don't go too high or don't do it with Takraw ball yet. You've got to go step by step. Give it all you have when you make a jump.
@almanoful Practice with Takraw Ball? Well, you basically try to kick the ball using the Roll Spike style. You will know how to do it when you practice a lot.
Pffft, hey mac. I just had a very bad landing last weekend on my practice. I almost got the average level of elevating my left knee for the best coordination of my right leg which I am using for the spike. Glad to have your response lately.
i start learning to roll-spike by practicing backflip at the river and on the mattress..then i start to it on the grass field..soon i able to do it on the hard surface.. to be able to do it u shold try to do high kick first like a teakwando kick first..soon when you mastered the kick..u try to do it by jumping high dan kick and rotate your body...do it constatly and u can find some adjustment...
Great job on learning this kick! I watched your first video and enjoyed it a lot. I knew you would start to get upside down soon! Someday, I hope to be able to do the same.
I watched a skilled Takraw killer in my village back in Thailand. And I watched Tony Jaa when he jumps and kicks the light bulb in the movie Tom Yum Goong. The rest, I just try to do the same by copying, and also learning it myself.
Yes.... This is the most advanced skill in Sepak Takraw that everyone is having trouble mastering it. Give it all you have if you're really into it. :D
What step are you on? If you feel like you have gone to step 3, maybe you wanna come back to step 2 and keep doing it for months until you let go of the fear. Then you can use that with step 3 with the ball and keep practice kicking the ball by complete the Roll Spike rotation and not to worry about if you gonna kick the ball or not, just complete the rotation. Keep practicing, keep playing. Though if you get sore, take a day or two off. Then come back and practice practice and play play. Cheers
@fiz123100 It feels amazing ( fearless ). It's like sitting on a chair ( that is about to fall backward ) without afraid to fall back with it. To be fearless, of course, you have to practice. Here is a tip, forget what you usually do ( the killing style that you were trying to do like the Roll Spike but it's not ) and do the real Roll Spike without fear of getting hurt. Tell your mind that you want to flip. >>>Don't forget to start from The low jump kick.
amazing skill!!! i wish i was 18 again!!! i would like to try the low jump kick with each leg to help my legs get stronger so my silat footwork will improve.
Watch how I swing my hands and my arms. You don't have to twist your body if you feel that it's not necessary. The key is jump as hard as you can, jump like it's your last jump. Again, watch me and copy.
ahaha It takes time. Don't be discouraged by it. Do it little by little. Play around with it, and build it up. If it's gonna take 5 years, let it take 5 years unless you need to do it, then you you'll have to beat it up. :D
@TheDarkdragonwing thank you again i already get this now, coz i skip over my fear of hurt, but i must improve to be higher kick, next i will try with aim a target, this skill require just first confidently
i enjoyed watching you tutorial maggi!!in fact your the talk of our school,we are a takraw player in our school and you serve as one of our inspirations in the field of sepak takraw!!!!good job men!!!!
Hey, I'm 13 years old and I am so amazed at the sport. I want to learn how to play it and I came across your video, and it's very helpful, but whenever I try to kick it hurts really bad between my legs. I don't know if it's because I'm not flexible or whatever, but it's really annoying. Can you help?
you're the best ,I just want to do like that but i can't do that ,how you study to play like that, you're the best .I want to play like you because just beautiful
Wow, this process takes months and even years! You are moving step to step very fast.
Keep doing it! CHeers!
Yes, you can start now from the first step. Take your time.
Cheers
Thanks Macky,

@MultiSlee You're welcome. Glad to hear it from you.
Hey thanks on this tutorial. I play in my bac yard everyday with others. Can't wait to show them what I learned. Thanks.

@CrossfireN22 No, I am Thai but I am living in USA ;) Peace!
Yes, it can hurt you. But if you do it right, it will not hurt you much.

All you need is experience and strength. To get them, you have to practice. When you practice a lot, you will get the experience. When you get the experience, strength will automatically be there by then.

I'm glad to hear that.
Keep practicing. If you get sore or tired, take a couple of days off and then come back to practice. Try to kick higher by kicking higher target.
Nice tutorial bro. Actually i'm very well in Takraw but in left position. I"ll try to be KILLER position but afraid to do this ROLL SPIKE.. Argghh..
Take your time and recover.
Cheers!
I will. No problem. :)
I'm glad to hear that. :D
Yes, hard to do
wow!! you really good at takraw to
so i need to jump high?
I wish I could learn this trick so that I can teach my teammates. We are joining a competition but we only know the basics. Thank you very much for this video it is very helpful.
You ROCK!!
No problem, mate!
awesome thanks
Hope you get better soon.
yeah your english is spot-on! Thanks for the tut. brilliant xD
@fiz123100 Look for the first video it's called: Bicycle Kick "FAAD" | Roll Spike - Sepak Takraw Practicing 1
@jhocky123 :D Man, I guess you are left-legged, too? I knew it, someone might ask me this. Ok, I think you have to reverse from right to left. It might be easier for you to do it that way. I might be making another video for this one and add some extra things that I was missing in this video.

Yes.... This is the most advanced skill in Sepak Takraw that everyone is having trouble mastering it. Give it all you have if you're really into it. :D

@randyvallespin Don't get too sore. Give time for your body and your legs to recover.
Thanks. Cheers!
gosh thx man! i've been waiting for this kind of video
cheers!

Fantastic tutorial dude!! And you're English is great! Now I need to practice these kicks.
No problem.
@WaCh01167 Yes, you can do this in soccer too. It is almost the same as the bicycle kick that Wayne Rooney does ;)
Watch how I swing my hands and my arms. You don't have to twist your body if you feel that it's not necessary. The key is jump as hard as you can, jump like it's your last jump. Again, watch me and copy.
thanks for his clip. I am start coaching our school takraw team.. Pls post more.. I am your avid follower
I will.
It can hurt if you fall down in a wrong position. Have to be careful.
ahaha It takes time. Don't be discouraged by it. Do it little by little. Play around with it, and build it up. If it's gonna take 5 years, let it take 5 years unless you need to do it, then you you'll have to beat it up. :D
Dude this guy is very helpful
Get recovered soon!
@TheDarkdragonwing thank you again i already get this now, coz i skip over my fear of hurt, but i must improve to be higher kick, next i will try with aim a target, this skill require just first confidently

Hey, I'm 13 years old and I am so amazed at the sport. Hey dude,do you have step to get over fear of that roll spike kick
how to jump high and spin the right leg...tq
+Syazani Harafullah Follow the video
you're the best ,I just want to do like that but i can't do that ,how you study to play like that, you're the best .I want to play like you because just beautiful
